CITY HALL WEBSITE! HUH?

I see that someone took down the snowflakes added during the Christmas holidays so I guess they must have read my blog about the City Hall website being a joke. Of course, under the City Council heading it still shows a blank square that says: Stan Beckham...coming soon. All they had to do was insert the picture I posted of his swearing in ceremony.

And, there still is no heading for the Police (they are still "interviewing") or Code Enforcement Officer. Of course, the latest Newsletter is still dated November, 2004...but they DID take down the snowflakes. I mean, uh, that IS progress...isn't it? Huh?

It sure would be nice to have one place to go for the latest factual information concerning Tehachapi. It could even be a page/section in the paper dedicated to city council events, development, business happenings, etc. Didn't I see somewhere in these blogs that the minutes of city council meetings were going to be published? I work the evening shift otherwise I would be attending just to see for myself what all the fuss is about.

Yes, that sure would be nice for people who cannot attend the Council meetings in person. Last YEAR, the Tehachapi News posted a notice that they were going to start making video's of these sessions and post them on their site for all to see. However, they didn't say WHEN they will start doing this. Maybe we can light a fire under them? It hasn't done any good for the City Hall people! They remain rather insulated from our comments. And the beat goes on.

Where did you post the picture of his swearing in ceremony? Just as an FYI, it's illegal for someone to take images from a web site with permission of the web site owner. That might be why they didn't pull it from wherever you posted it. Maybe you should email it to them so they know they can use it.
