THE PUBLIC WORKSHOP-NEW CITY HALL
THE I was very pleased to see such a huge turnout at last night’s Council meeting and to view the presentations prepared by Tower Investments and Empire Commercial. This increased citizen participation clearly shows the degree of involvement all inhabitants of the greater Tehachapi area and their interest in weighing in on the future development of the City’s expansion. While I spoke in favor of the Capital Hills site, the greater preponderance seemed more inclined to favor the Empire’s artist renderings look very inviting with lots of green spaces and attractive designs. The addition of senior housing would be wonderful since these citizens would actually be able to walk to both City Hall and the adjoining shops and restaurants. It would be a boon to them. Also, with a new supermarket there (Slater’s?) the 3000 plus residents in the immediate area would no longer have to drive the one mile distance to already crowded Albertson’s or Save Mart unless they wanted to and not because they had to. And, who knows, wouldn’t it be nice to have a Famous Dave’s BBQ and perhaps a Trader Joe’s and Pier One Imports, etc.? Maybe even a Michael’s Art Store and Red Lobster. Yummm! Hey Medicone! I won't allow you to make me stoop to your level of personal attacks. I'll leave that up to people like you. You're good at it and I wouldn't want to deprive you of that pleasure. (To Ms. Hart) With all due respect, you should think before reacting with sad theatrics. So far, you're batting zero.... Based upon my forty (40) years in law as a practicing paralegal and law instructor for 20 years -- USC,UCLA, Univ. of West LA Law School and National Honor Society -- "Truth" is an absolute defense to a defamation lawsuit....You admitted not being at the meeting so all you heard was hearsay.
Back to PUBLICLY-AVOWED DRUG USER SUPPORTS HAND. I’m inclined to opt for quality when I present myself in public. That's how "thinking people" respond But then we see the child in other blogs

Before the meeting finally moved on to address agenda items, Mayor Pro-Tem Hand spoke up with an amused smile, “For the record, I don't smoke pot, medicinally or otherwise. I don't even smoke tobacco,”
