CITY JOKESITE!

Silly me. Here I was ragging on the City Hall website for having their "latest" Newsletter dated November, 2004 and I just discovered their latest "Election Results" dated Nov. 2, 2004.

I think they are stuck in a time warp from 2004 and can't seem to go forward.

Do you think someone should offer to take over their so-called website?

Jim, I couldn't agree with you more. The purpose of a governmental (or any for that matter) website is to provide pertinent and up-to-date information to concerned constituents. It is obvious that information dated to November 2004 is "out of date" to say the very least. My advice to the city is to hand the website responsibilities over to a community member and/or to a web management company. Not only will this ensure that content is updated on a regular basis, it will also eliminate any hardship placed on the city as a result of this website. The only other advice I can give is for those in city hall can get off of their rears and make things happen on their own. What a concept!

Sincerely,

Steven C. Vogel
