VENEZUELAN TERRORIST CAMPS!
Like Iraq and Afghanistan, our borders only get worse by the day. The only people who seem to care about it is The Minutemen and the American Public! Our so-called Legislators are only interested in their own pork barrel projects, which of course, wind up in their pockets.

  • U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigations have revealed that aliens were routed from the Middle East to staging areas in Central and South America, before being smuggled illegally into the United States.
  •
  • Members of Hezbollah have already entered the United States across the Southwest border.
  •
  • U.S. military and intelligence officials believe that Venezuela is emerging as a potential hub of terrorism in the Western Hemisphere. The Venezuelan government is issuing identity documents that could subsequently be used to obtain a U.S. visa and enter our country.

Jim~

Thanks for your words of support. I have spent a lot of soul searching on this issue, because I do understand and have great compassion for all people who are simply trying to benefit their lives and the lives of their children; it's not about the color of their skin or their heritage.

At what point do we say, enough is enough? How many people can we sustain in this country and how many people can we let through when we have a serious security issue at hand? We have to tighten it up. Sorry. We have given amnesty to many illegals over and over again. If they failed to do what they needed to do at that time, why is America now responsible to continue to allow this to happen.

My grandparents (on both sides) came into this country through Ellis Island and endured numerous hardships, being treated worse than a herd of cattle, assigned numbers, working on docks, doing whatever they could, and then going through the great depression. What bothers me is they never entered this country asking about or demanding their rights, or looking for a handout, they endured great suffering with no help from our government , and the did it legally. .

What bothers me is that unlike the current immigrant scenario , they never entered this country asking about or demanding their rights, or looking for a handout, they endured great suffering with no help  from our government , and the did it legally and they were proud to be an American citizen, instead of bashing the very country that gave them a chance to succeed.

I am simply someone who is not afraid to speak the truth about what the majority of American citizens are already thinking and feeling.

I quite agree with you, Christine. As a matter of fact, I have no idea WHY this guy turned my initial blog into a racist cause. After all, it was titled "Venezuelan Terrorist Camps" and had absolutely NOTHING to do with illegal Mexican aliens...that is, until HE decided to turn it that way. Frankly, I'm TIRED of us Americans caving in to all the illegal aliens demands. Let them march on the streets of Mexico City! Consider posting your own blog to keep this alive!

Anonymous~

This has been a hotly debated issue. I am not a racist  because I want people to be here legally. I am not intolerant. I am so tired of people pulling out the race card for  every political issue, just because it stirs the emotional pot. You have no rights if you are illegal. I am really weary of hearing people say "We are standing up for our rights? WHAT RIGHTS? The only rights you have are the ones back in your home country as a citizen of that country.

People are tired of illegals getting benefits, and not even trying to assimilate. That is the point. And yes, if you are going to live here, assimilate, speak English in public, get a worker's permit and do the right thing. That's all anyone is asking. There are plenty of legal citizens  who are part of the Latino community that feel this way too. Are they intolerant  and racist too?

Finally, spend your money here instead of sending it back to your home country if you truly want to be an American citizen: buy American products and stay, instead of taking your money back to your home country at our expense. You can't have it both ways, sorry. I have plenty of friends who are Hispanic and legal in this country and I love them dearly, but they did it the legal way, and pay into the system. They don't run around waving the flag of their former country and demanding their nonexistent rights to be here.

In 1792, the U.S. Congress passed legislation authorizing the U.S. Mint to coin money, all to be inscribed with the Latin words "E Pluribus Unum," a motto meaning "Out of Many, One."

CHEAP LABOR?

Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Business doesn't want to pay a decent wage

Consumers don't want expensive produce

Government will tell you Americans don't want the jobs

But the bottom line is cheap labor
The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie
~ there is no such thing as "cheap labor."

Take, for example , an illegal alien with a wife and five children.

He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour.

At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax,
yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return,
he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent

He qualifies for food stamps

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay)

health care

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school

He requires bilingual teachers and books

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills

If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled,
they qualify for SSI.

Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare.

All of this is at that taxpayer's expense.

He doesn't worry about car insurance, life
insurance, or homeowners insurance.

Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to
$30.00/hour in benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour
Left after paying their bills and his.

The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime,
graffiti and trash clean-up.

Cheap labor?

Sol2ride, every time anyone says anything against illegal immigration, you and others with your viewpoint have to play the race card.  You obviously just don't get it.  I don't hate anyone.  I don't hate Mexicans.  I don't even hate illegals.  All I (and the rest of the legal citizens) want is for people to be here LEGALLY, no matter what country they're from.  Is that so hard to understand?  There was an anonymous person blogging here a while ago with your same viewpoint and neither you nor him have answered a very simple question that I've asked.  WHY do you feel it is right for immigrants to stay illegal and not go through the process of becoming a legal citizen?  Is that such a hard question, or one you refuse to answer?

OK, so what other country can I go to and get a drivers license, a job, medical care and the assistance from a large percentage of the population? Oh wait, did I mention that I crossed their border ILLEGALLY!! Oh yeah, I will be welcomed with open arms. I am tired of the United States being bashed because we don't give enough or do enough to this group, that group, let these people do whatever they want on board an airplane, heaven forbid we need to make sure grandma isn't going to blow up an airplane but let us look a little closer to the people who actually did this - yes profiling - which is how crimes are solved - oh no - here comes a law suit, a law suit in our country from citizens of another country. We need to make companies give their money to people because they don't have any - get real. Income redistribution is not the base of our economy. It may not be the best country for every single person and their unique situation, but where is?? But something must be OK if everyone wants to come here. So to all these people who don't like how it's done here - work within the present system to make changes like everyone else has to or LEAVE. Border security has to be our highest priority in these days of terror. Sorry if I went a little off subject.

Sol2ride   hmmm   I like the flat 10% consumer tax idea.  I'm not religious, but I think Jesus had more compassion for our fellow man than we do.   I'm not saying send all the illegals back to Mexico,  I know some have family and loved ones born here.  I know some have lived here for over a decade and have done much work for our country.  I don't want Americans to treat  illegals like crap.   This is not a racist issue for me. I just want our borders secure because I don't think it's ok for anyone to come here illegally and I certainly don't want terrorist crossing the border.   I think that we should treat the people who are living in our country now with compassion.   Absolutely.   I would hope most agree.

I don't think anyone on here hates anyone because of their race or being illegal immigrants. I feel by you saying something like that is hateful. I would say 99% of the people who use this website are quite the opposite, they are all very wonderful people who care about everyone no matter what religion or color of skin.

The thing I think they do not like is people coming to our country illegally, it is their actions that make us mad. I personally do not have a problem with someone coming to this country with hopes of a better life  but do it legally, obey the laws of the land.

Hello sparks, I feel that if we had a consumer tax in this country the middle wouldn't blame the lower class.   Think about it a flat 10% consumer tax would hit everyone, the person on welfare buying shoes at the store and the big companies buying product.   O and yes each and every of those illegal people.  The problem with a consumer tax (for the rich) is that allot of cooperation's would pay 10% more than they do now.   This legal vs illegal immigration debate needs to take into account the human price of all this.  For those of you who believe in God, how would Jesus treat the illegals?   Its funny to me that right wing Christian conservatives love war and hate their fellow man.   How backwards have we become?

I think if Politicians and Big Businesses were giving out more money to illegals then they are making, we wouldn't have illegals in the first place.  It, doesn't make sense to me that since money makes big business and politicians go round that they would tolerate this..  UNLESS they know it's the middle class once again who will pay for them to get richer.    I think we should tax the rich/big companies more and the middle class less... the rich obviously have way to much power and they do not have America's best interest in hand.

Very well said Jim, I guess if your down to personal attacks then ive won the debate.  I understood what doj stands for and I'm still waiting for a link to all this correct information you point to.  However statistics lie and liars give statistics.  If you really believe only 2% are picking our crops then take just a 15 min. drive to Arvin and take a survey of those in the fields your doj 2% will turn into a 95%.  I understand your view point I just think its wrong so don't call me closed minded just open your mind and argue your point.  Greg L, by not having a guest worker program in this country the people who come here are working under a type of modern day slavery.  Why don't you think policy is changed? because it will force big business to pay a fair wage.   I really think Lou Dobbs is an idiot and so is Sean Penn I think for myself based on personal experience.  Not a conservative or liberal ideology that i will blindly follow.   What personal experience have you two men had with Mexicans that makes you hate them so much?  What personal negative impact have you suffered at the hands of an illegal immigrant?  Really how does a person working in the fields affect your personal daily life?

Mexico is not really the problem most Illegal immigrants come from countries like Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Chile, Belize, Mexico is just the crossing point.   Its no wonder why the U.S. has spread so much distaste around the world people here can not even tolerate neighboring countries.  Think about the future disdain for America the people south of our border will have for us.  So Jim your right maybe terrorist will be our worry if the Mexicans get sick of this kind of blatant racism.  I give America a max of 100 more years at best the entire world will be tired of this kind of crap you spew.  Just sit in your home built by illegals, shop in the store stocked by illegals, eat at the restaurant run by illegals, stay in the hotel cleaned by illegals and be happy that those people are here to do the work that the lazy fat Americans not only will not do but can not do.

Greg you call Mexico a toilet wow what great worldly insight you have, have you ever even traveled outside the U.S. ?

Argue about it, blog about it, gnash your teeth about it, but WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!

Thanks, GregL. You said it all! This person doesn't believe ANYTHING Lou Dobbs says so I guess he must believe EVERYTHING that Sean Penn says. It is clear that his mind is closed and he is not interested in anyone else's point of view. He asked the source authority for my statistics and I told him it was DOJ. Maybe he didn't understand, that is the United States Department of Justice. However, he won't believe them either. He only believes in his OWN point of view and the rest of us can go to hell.

sol2ride, this is very entertaining.  You say,

"In the early history of this country it was legal law to own a slave.  ... Today we have an entire segment of our society who are working class slaves due to broken policy..."

Slaves?  Really now, no one is forcing illegals to slither across the border and come here to work.  No one is forcing illegals to do anything here, yet.  They came here of their own free will to escape a cr*ppy country, which is fine, but they do it illegally which is wrong.  Is anyone forcing them to stay illegal?  I don't think so.  Why do you feel it is OK to stay illegal?  Is it OK for anyone from any country in the world to come here illegally, or is it just OK for Mexicans because this territory once belonged to Mexico?  Your mind set is pretty amazing.  Maybe we should give California back to Mexico, then they can drive it into the toilet like the rest of the country.  Then there won't be any desire to come here anymore.
