Do you think it will snow?
I don't know what to think of the weather people anymore. they've taunted me for so long about snow, that it's hard to believe that this time they may be right. They are predicting serious snow on Thursday night and Friday morning, if you haven't already heard. Highway 58 closing kind of snow.

Do you think it's true?

Probably. Next week is supposed to be pretty cold too. I guess the little groundhog was wrong. We're getting our last bit of winter before our Tehachapi spring.

I refuse to get my hopes up.  I would just love for the 58 to close.  My boss lives in Bakersfield and we could party on Friday (JK Vicky).

I hope it snows. The town is always so pretty when it snows. And we can use the water. I read where the weather people were actually concerned that the wildflowers weren't going to pop because of the lack of water this year, but I guess the big rain last weekend helped everything along. And it's always better when the boss isn't around :o)

My prediction is that it will start snowing around 5pm on Thursday with us getting 4 inches of snow in town.

This is what the pro's are calling for..........

...WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH
LATE THURSDAY NIGHT FOR THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS

A STRONG PACIFIC STORM IS TAKING AIM ON THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
INTERIOR. THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE IN THE KERN COUNTY
MOUNTAINS THURSDAY AND LINGER INTO FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW FALL MAY
BECOME HEAVY...BRIEFLY...DURING THE DAY. SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL TO
3000 TO 3500 FEET BY THURSDAY NIGHT. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF
UP TO 8 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE AT PASS LEVELS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.

Hey, if everyone really want to go to a good Tehachapi weather monitoring site, go to: http://www.mountainbase.com... This site is actually used by the National Weather Service as a monitoring site. It is privately run (as a hobby I think). It also has a great webcam view of Tehachapi Mountain which you can give to relatives who live elsewhere: http://www.mountainbase.com... Kudos to Lance Wood and this site!!
