Wow --- it looks like a lot of new people are coming on to the blogs these days. There are a bunch of new blogs about all kinds of neat stuff!

I like reading the political stuff, but I have to admit I'm also really pulled in by all these other blogs about people, life and neat places to shop.

So, welcome, new people! Hope you keep posting for a long time!

I don't know what to think of the weather people anymore. they've taunted me for so long about snow, that it's hard to believe that this time they may be right. They are predicting serious snow on Thursday night and Friday morning, if you haven't already heard. Highway 58 closing kind of snow.

Do you think it's true?

Lately I've been having trouble sleeping at night. Or rather, I go to sleep, then wake up at 3 a.m. or so and can't get back to sleep.

Sometimes it's about the pressures of work. Sometimes it's about worrying about an ill family member, whom I don't see nearly as often as I should (back to the work thing). Or about long distance friends that I never seem to be able to keep in touch with as often as I'd like, with all of our hectic schedules. And sometimes it's just about not being able to shut off my mind once it starts.

What keeps you up at night? And no political answers, please. I want to learn about my fellow bloggers as people, not as political entities.

Whether you are happily married, happily single or somewhere in between, here's hoping that on the day we celebrate the romantic in all of us that your day is happy and you are well!

Is anyone else watching the Westminster Kennel Club dog show that's on USA?

Westminster is like the doggie Super Bowl, and I'm completely hooked. I've watched every year since they started broadcasting it, and it just keeps getting better and better.

Anyone else out there looking?

Did anyone else check out the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet on Sunday?

How freakin' adorable were those little guys?  And the kitten half-time show was sweet, even if they didn't have any long-haired babies this time around.

I can't believe I didn't think of the idea myself...
