One of the advantages (or disadvantages, depending on how you look at it) of being in Tehachapi is that we're about the same distance away from Lancaster/Palmdale than we are from Bakersfield.
So, my question is this: When you leave Tehachapi to go shopping outside of the area, do you head to Bakersfield or do you opt for Lancaster? Do you head one way for something like clothes shopping, and the other for movies or groceries? Do you have family in one area or another that makes you more partial to it? How do people decide which way to head down the hill?
Lately when I've been buying dairy products like cottage cheese or half and half they seem to be much worse quality than they used to be.
The cottage cheese on three different occasions has been runny and watery, and the half and half has either spoiled way before its expiration date, or I buy a carton and once I get it home I find a small leak in the container. I've bought both products from more than one store, so I don't think it's the store's fault. Anyone else noticing problems? |
