New blood on the Tehachapi City Council
We need new blood on the Tehachapi City Council and you can help. Local businessman Henry Schaeffer tried to get on the ballot but was denied at the last minute due to technical difficulties. So what you have to do is write in his name. If you are a registered voter in the city limits, you should be getting a mailer regarding Henry. Then before the election, door to door visits will be made. Henry along with many business owners and residents are very upset with what's happening in our city. He is upset with what's happening on our streets, He's upset with the direction the city is taking with the Fire Department, He's upset with the Police Department. If you are upset, talk to Henry at his new store and remember to Write in Henry Schaeffer.

I to will endorse Henry  Schaeffer for City Council. Matter of fact I will be walking for him soon. Be sure to write down his name with all your other voting notes. God knows I will need notes to remember what to vote for and what not to. He has been in Tehachapi since 1978 and has owned a store in the City since 1994. Please vote for Henry Schaeffer and Linda Vernon and that's it! You know you don't have to vote for all three. Please don't!

AMEN to all of the above. I will also vote for Henry. It's time to get some fresh blood and ideas on the City Council. Many of those who are now seated have been party to the "revolving door syndrome" for as long as 30 years! They take turns "appointing" each other as Mayor and when that terms expires they go back on the Council and wait their turn to be "appointed" Mayor....again...and again...and, well you get the idea. They justify their presence because they want "continuity". That simply translates to Same Old, Same Old. It's tough to get a write in candidate elected but it CAN be done. Let's put some of these incumbents back where they belong, away from the long tables and...in the back of the room!

I will vote For Henry. Just because Tehachapi Fire messed up his building plans and cost him an extra $60,000! I know he will do the right thing for Tehachapi!

Ill vote for Henry, because i think he is a good person and not a political screw ball like some of the current board members.  but i hope his only reason for running is to get back at the TFD.  I believe he would still be fair in all aspects, (i just know i would want heads to roll if they cost me that much money)

So to vote for him we just write his name on the ballott under city council members?

YES,  you must write in his name on the ballot. But it's going to take a LOT more than just knocking on a few doors. I would suggest everyone set up a "telephone tree". Call 10 people you know and urge them each to call  10 people they know, etc. etc. We can reach MANY more people that way than we ever could by just "knocking on doors".

We are only DAYS away from the election and I have been trying to reach Henry every day for one week and cannot get him on the phone or to return my call back messages. He NEEDS to have the commitment of the "fire in the belly". If he doesn't have that....we are all doomed to repeat the past!

Why do we need someone from the outside.  Henry lives in BVS  Yes he move a travel trailer into the RV Park and claim that his is home.   If he wants to live in the city of Tehachapi.  Sell your home in BVS and move into your trailer.  Not drive home to BVS every night from your store
