Bush is truly American's Worst Enemy
I had a very upsetting experience at work today One of my employees came in on her day off. Broke into tears and all I could do is hold her and ask her what happened. A young man that she cares for very much, was caught in the line of fire in Afghanistan. He lost a leg below the knee, and a foot on the other leg. Where is the justice or the reasoning of this? How can Bush sleep at night. This war has gone on long enough. He is causing HIS American people and the people in the mid east a lot of heartbreak. I have no respect for this man' decision making and I think he should be on the front line. I think he's a piece of crap My prayers go out for Justin's family and friends and Bush should be ashamed of himself. 25 comments from 9 users

I am sorry, Olivia. And of course, I am at once tremendously sorry and grateful for what this courageous young man has given in the name of what he believes in. He and his family will be in my thoughts and in my heart. PeacefulMan: I will not claim either of the Bushes (or Clinton, for that matter). I am a dyed in the wool Libertarian. posted by

What a tragedy.......We were right to invade Afghanistan in search of Bin Laden........What pisses me off is Bush basically abandoned that search and focused most of our military invading a country that basically did not fight back. In search of a man that was no threat to the United States. We bombed the hell out of Iraq, We caught Saddam Hussein, we had him killed and in the mintime we also killed umpteen thousands of Innocent people in the process. If our focus would have stayed in Afghanistan where it belongs This tragedy may not have happened. I believe bush to be a evil man...........Some people are afraid of Muslims but Bush has told the whole world that they need to be afraid of Christians..........Why haven't we caught Bin Laden yet??? Could it be because of the close ties that the Bush's and Bin Laden family's have??? And God help us if John McBush gets elected........................ posted by

Over 30,000 Americans have been wounded in Iraq... not to mention thousands of Iraq women and children. I"m sorry for what happened to your employee's brave soldier friend that was wounded doing WHAT WAS best for America. If we had a half way intelligent president, all the soldiers that are in Iraq would have been in Afghanistan with this brave man you speak of. In fact, I believe, if none of our soldiers were ever sent to Iraq to serve Bush's hatred.... The war in Afghanistan would be over already and your employee's friend would still have his body parts. Going to Iraq for, whatever reason Bush finally decided to use as an excuse, is the most hurtful thing any president has ever done to America. Bush will always be remembered as America's biggest mistake. Again, I am so sorry for your employee's sorrow, and her friend's loss of limbs...what a great loss Americans in general have suffered because of this stupid Man we have to call our president and his administration. I, like the majority of Americans, am ready for our suffering to end. I saw the story on the news this morning. Did Bush see it? I doubt it. Would he give a shit if he did? I doubt it. Almost my entire family voted for Bush much to my shame. Do they now regret it? You betcha...but I have a feeling they will vote for McSame. I don't know that for a fact as I no longer discuss politics with my family. What did people expect from a coward who shirked his own military duty? Who used nasty fear tactics to win the election in '04? Having a son who did 3 tours over there and came home safe and unharmed each time, I don't even want to imagine what Jason's mother is going through. Had my son not had his motorcycle accident, he would've gone for the 4th time...and who knows? Ever been thankful your kid had an accident? My thoughts and good wishes go out to Jason and his family during this time, and the long hard row ahead of them. posted by

Jer - SO JUST WHAT IN THE HELL IS THE POINT OF YOUR STUPID REMARKS?! He volunteered for us so we should just shrug our shoulders and say, gee, he went and lost his leg and both feet of his own free will? Ok, I'm too angry right now to say anything more. posted by

I have to agree with Joty here, jer72. No one said, or even implied, that this young man (and the thousands of other men & women) was forced to join the military. What exactly was your point? And since when does the president get to decide when & where we go to war? Last I checked, the constititution gave that responsibility to Congress. We've seen the dismemberment of our constitution taking place before our very eyes, and very few people seem to care. PeacefulMan, how can you say the Democrats are just as responsible for this occupation as the Republicans? Most of the Democrats in congress voted against the authorization to invade Iraq. As far as being "in control" for the last two years, you realize how the Senate works, right? Unless you have 60 votes united, nothing can get done (thanks to the Republicans.) Stop listening to the right-wing nutjobs & their biased news channel. Read both sides of the issue. Go to the source, when possible. Use that grey matter upstairs & think past the talking points. posted by

"they sign their name to fight in any war a President picks"?? Really - is that what you think you volunteered for? Why don't you show me what that paper ACTUALLY says? http://www.rethinkingschool...

I don't ever delete anyone's comments from my topics...however, I'm making an exception this time. I really don't want to hear about "these kids" making a decision of their own free will. Kids think they are invinsible, we have all felt that in our lifetime. Some of these kids have left the comfort of their homes, hanging out with friends, playing video games and enjoying their youth in order to further their education and travel the world. Some are trying to escape a life of one mistake after another, in order to better their life. I didn't post this blog to hear from unsympathtic, rationalizing, people. I posted it to bash our son of a bitch president that is sleeping well at night knowing his kids are safe and couldn't give a rats a** about other people's children. There is no way I can be convinced that there are higher, more important agendas than this messed up war. This hit very close to home for me, I feel so badly for this young lady. I feel worse for Justin and what he is going to have to endure, his family and having to help him through tragic times. I'm sorry for those of you who have posted and now your comments seem "out of place"....but ...for you in support of our war, and the decisions that our young people have made, start your own blog.

No, I did not post this to hear from anyone who supports this war or our President. I posted because more and more people are being killed. Someone from Tehachapi was seriously injured. I'm pissed that it's still going on. I'm pissed that a family is going to go through hell because their son was willing to risk his life. I completely support our troups 100%. They are true American's. I'm sorry that I can't say the same about our fearless leader. I'm sorry that the title of my blog incited a political argument. That definitely was not my intent. I was very emotional when wrote it. posted by

It usually takes tragedy such as this for people to ask questions and express their anger over a miss guided war....If the context of this blog and the views that some have towards bush and this war upsets you .........TO BAD........Bush dropped the ball in Afghanistan and invaded a country that was no threat to the USA.....It has been proven that bush and his cohort's drummed up false information to excite congress and the American people into approving an attack on Iraq......If our military was allowed to fight the war in Afghanistan and not Iraq its mission really would have been completed.....I truly believe that because of this we now have a Tehachapi soldier who's life is for ever changed........ My best wishes go's out to Jason and his family.......Jason you are truly a American Hero......Thank you for unselfishly serving and protecting my rights to be free..I hope that one day I will be able to shake your hand and tell you this in person, I would be honored. posted by

Olivia - you don't owe anyone an apology for your feelings and what you wrote. No one is forced to read or comment. If people don't like what they read, I agree with you - they need to start their own blog. We don't have to support the war-monger or the war to support our troops and be thankful they are doing what they do. I saw my son go three times while the Bush twins were out partying. I AM SO THANKFUL THE BUSH REGIME IS COMING TO AN END! And I can only hope that McSame is not elected! posted by

What if Justin reads this? I think Justin is a bright enough young man that he will figure out that this was posted by a person who is very upset and needs to blame someone for all of this awful stuff happening. Not just to our American soldiers, but also those in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are a lot of young kids over there who truly believe in what they are fighting for, that's not my beef. There are also kids over there who thought they were enlisting to get an education and are probably very confused as to what they are fighting for. This blog was not created for pro bush supporters or for anti bush. It was created to voice my sadness, my anger and my total confusion as to why this is continuing. posted by

Countygirl...shall I bow at your feet and bless your little heart for being "polically correct". I stated how I felt about the son of a bitch who won't put a stop to this. Then I get this hateful shit from you guys defending ... What? What the hell are you defending. If it doesn't sound supportive to you, then I guess you are reading your own crap into it and maybe are getting a little defensive. I never in a million years would think that just because I feel a certain way that all people feel that way. I'm here defending myself for what? For having to console a young girl whose heart is broke, and being pissed that it happened. I'm happy you posted a non emotional, superficial blog of your own. Don't ever tell me what I should have stuck to. Keep your attacks for someone in the f--king mood for them, posted by

Gee Countygirl, do you know this young man personally? If you don't, then how do you know what he'd rather/rather not read? As Sparks said, if he does reads these posts, he'll understand he has our support, condolences and well wishes - and he'll understand that most of us cannot respect one of the country's worst presidents ever who sent him over there. And this young man has been more than just wounded. |
