Theft at Tehachapi Art Center

Tehachapi Art Center is sad to report that someone broke into the storage unit at the new TAC location last night and stole a few thousand dollars worth of music equipment.

This equipment was used in the Art Center concert series last summer, and was going to be used for the same thing this summer. It is heavy duty equipment, used for stage shows in the out-of-doors.

Please be on the lookout if someone you know has suddenly started performing with new speakers, new amplifiers, new microphones, new stands, etc., or is trying to sell this sort of thing. And if you suspect someone you know was involved in the theft, please contact the Tehachapi Police Department at 822-2222.

Yeah - here I am - the bleeding heart, all ready to protest against testicle-hanging.  As you might suspect, one thing that I love about Tehachapi is that (up till now) I haven't seen any one hanging from their testicles.  Maybe that will change, and Tehachapi will (due to the wide influence of these blogs) become friendlier to torture advocates like gube and jim, and maybe Ginger.

Another thing I like about Tehachapi is how easy it is to qualify as a bleeding heart.  The bar is low enough to shuffle over.

Didn't something very similar to this happen last year?

Dayum,  That's a lot of money to have to come up with to replace all the equipment.  I hope they catch em with the stuff.

I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Fundraiser time people.

When and if the catch the punks that stole your stuff I hope they hang them by their testicles........One of the things that makes Tehachapi such a great place to live is all the events put on by local businesses like Art Center........Good luck in finding your stuff.

It might be a good idea to keep your eyes open on craigslist in the music section. I wouldn't be too suprised to see it end up there.
