Column of smoke

I live in Stallion Springs.  At about noon I saw a Fire Dept Helicopter over (I think) Bear Valley and a small column of smoke in that area.  Nothing since.  Did the foundation savers do good again?  That is a joke and not a slam at the fire dept.  Just lloking for info.

This probably means the "foundation savers" did their job effectively.   I believe there was a brush fire in SS somewhere.

I don't think anything was going on in BVS.  I was there from about 11:30 on and didn't see anything.

Yeah I didn't see anything either.  I'm in Bear Valley and I notice when those helicopters fly over.  Its LOUD. :)

There was a small grass fire on the North side of Stallion Springs yesterday.  We flew over Bear Valley to get to the fire. The fire was stopped at 2 acres. A gardener said it started when he was using a weed eater to cut the grass from around a house. Now that it is getting hotter please use caution when working outside. It is best to use power equipment in the early mornings when the temp is low and the humidity is up.  Don't let this be an excuse not to clear the grass and weeds from around your home.

If you have any questions about clearing a defensible space around your home please call your local fire station.
