“We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Harper Lee certainly put this in proper perspective, but why do politicians and political appointees believe those not lunatic are going to believe this patent lie? And while FDR did manage to gain some degree of trust deserved or not, did manage to evidence some concern for America, the same cannot be said for Caesar Bush and this Congress.

Our treasonously open borders for the sake of slave labor benefiting the wealthy in both America and Mexico may get some needed attention due to the recent TB scare. While a politically correct MSM for the most part ignores the fact those carrying such a disease may be crossing our borders by the thousands daily this seems not to matter, nor is it receiving the attention a single airline passenger is getting from politicians or those favoring the invasion and colonization of America from Mexico. Illegal aliens by the millions never tested for infectious diseases; this is lunacy!, the same lunacy of Reagan who opened the floodgates to this invasion by the barbaric, corrupt nation of Mexico and now being advocated by the present lunatics in the White House and Congress.

How about this for crazy; some political appointee stands at the podium and announces we have nothing to fear from this single incident of an airline passenger carrying a virulent and infectious, deadly disease slipping past all the “security” now required for airlines after 9/11. The craziness consists in expecting anyone to believe anything any dog feeding at Caesar’s table has to say by way of “assurance” on any matter to We the People! The bald fact is that Caesar Bush will certainly punish any of his servants that do not perform as one of his well-trained dogs.

However, there is no reasoning with lunatics that by definition are not reasonable; but Muslim dictators and tyrants sitting on huge oil reserves while lunatic in their beliefs will do business with “infidels” all to the glory of Allah and his pervert “prophet.” But another lunacy presents itself to the rational mind that those flattering themselves with the term “liberal” choose to pick on someone like Jerry Falwell rather than Saudi princes. That Islam is a lunatic religion consigning women to the category of animals carries no weight with either those flattering themselves with the label “liberal” or those that profit from doing business with Muslims. If Falwell had been a Saudi prince sitting on enormous oil reserves he would be flattered in the MSM that owes its soul to those who profit from doing business with Muslims, and while gathering some attention Falwell did not equal billions of dollars in profits. The basic problem with Falwell’s Moral Majority was not the message, but the lack of oil reserves that would have bought Falwell all the politicians and judges he needed to gain favorable attention and power.

The lesson is obvious; economics, not morality, is the way the world works. The pettifoggers will jump on Falwell’s brand of what they consider his lunacy of Christian Fundamentalism while ignoring the far more threatening lunacy of Saudi princes and Big Oil that make suicide bombers into heroes and martyrs; that makes possible the mosques in America preaching hatred of Americans. And what Big Oil means to economics, globalization and the threat to America is now being rivaled by Big Drugs, both legal and illegal.

Of course the megafauna die off due to a comet about 11,500 years ago that made modern civilization possible could have been a coincidence; however I believe it was an act of God, just as I believe the Bible contains a history of good and evil though the facts about origins must be inferred from the stories as written. But whatever one’s beliefs few would dispute the influence of evil by the mechanism of wealth. And this will determine how events will unfold in the face of growing threats to America. For my part, Jesus was correct in calling attention to the fact that the love of money is the root of every kind of evil. So no matter what “assurances” about our safety by politicians and their appointees, Caesar and his dogs, it does seem power and wealth will trump the truth.

Most of us enjoy a good spooky story or movie, but when current affairs become spooky that is cause for real alarm! It surprises many to learn one-third of the world’s population has been infected with tuberculosis. I was in my early twenties when an X-ray revealed I had TB as a child and the infection had caused a small cyst to be formed around it in my left lung. I was told at the time such a thing was not that unusual, especially considering the unhealthy living conditions many of us oldsters were subjected to when we were young. These unhealthy conditions did not always discriminate between rich and poor, and sometimes even the wealthy died of “consumption.” But like increasing cases of leprosy being reported among illegal aliens, the third world disease of TB is once more threatening America. And while the most virulent form of the disease is presently rare, absolute quarantine is essential to avoid the threat of Typhoid Mary’s.

We are being “assured” by our government that things like this recent case of virulent TB are not a threat, but when was the last time you believed anything any government agency told you? More likely, if you are like me, you didn’t trust our government saying that China poisoning pet food was not a danger to the food being imported for humans to eat. As to TB, I have visited clinics housing the infected and believe me they are not all places like that of Doc Holliday where you want to end your days.

In the category of “you can’t make these things up” the news both in America and worldwide declares such imminent threats due to politics and religion makes it appear the lunatics are running asylum earth. The leaders of nations act and sound like lunatics, and if you have ever visited an insane asylum, by whatever euphemism, you will have witnessed behavior that makes your skin crawl and the word “spooky” is appropriate. This is now the case with world leaders; some seeming to be afflicted with such madness to the point of Hannibal Lecter though lacking his brilliance.

With the recent news about another man being quarantined for carrying a deadly strain of TB and the thought of all of us eventually being required to wear surgical masks everywhere we go, things are spiraling out of control to the point where we have passed from alarm over so much bad news to the spooky stage. Now spooky is not a term one usually associates with clinical psychology and serious discussions about current affairs, however it is one that suggests itself when considering some manifestations of human behavior. Take Caesar Bush for example. I have stopped seeing him as a “What, me worry?” fool and now see him as a dangerous mad man, one that now makes dangerously mad statements such as if you do not support his wars and immigration plans you are not a patriot! These are the words of a mad dictator, not those of a sane President of the United States representing We the People! My own form of madness takes the turn of telling Caesar and those in Congress that refusal to secure our borders and expel illegal aliens amounts to TREASON! I leave it to readers to decide which is the spookier.

No one knows how many carriers of the virulent form of TB are crossing our borders illegally by the thousands daily. But if an order comes down to border patrol agents to wear surgical masks, I suppose most of us would get the hint. The fact is that one would be a fool to trust our government to tell us the truth about anything. Given Korea, JFK, Vietnam, 9/11, Caesar Bush’s wars and the sheer madness of the proposed immigration “reform” why should we believe anything anyone in government tells us? But when things like the corruption and chaos in our government pass from the merely dangerous to the spooky, now that is really scary!

Some of you are old enough to remember mailing in cereal box tops with a dime, fifteen cents or a quarter for fascinating items like various toys, amulets, and rings advertised to have glorious properties for fun and excitement. And you may recall our comic books of the time had pages of advertising in them to excite the imagination of children and entice them by promises of wonderful things to be had cheaply. Shortly after WWII one company advertised an “Atomic Bomb” ring for children guaranteed to display actual atoms flying about, and following the admonition by advertisers “Be the first kid on your block” I immediately sent off for one.

The ring was mounted with a tiny “bomb” about three-sixteenths of an inch in diameter and about five-eighths of an inch long. The bomb was gold colored with a detachable red tailfin. The instructions said to carefully remove the tailfin, then go into a dark room and peer into the back of the bomb where you would see real atoms flying about inside. When I removed the tailfin I could see a small clear plastic lens inserted in the back of the bomb, and squinting into it sure enough I could see a very few infinitesimal faint streaks of light flashing inside it.

Perhaps this lens made it possible for an optical illusion, I don’t know. But it would take some learning on my part about atoms to realize whatever I had seen in my Atomic Bomb ring was not actual atoms flying about inside it. I was also learning along the way that the advertisements designed to appeal to children did not always fulfill expectations; more, some were downright frauds perpetrated against children.

In the process of time and looking back it does seem incredible that not long after those bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bomb rings were being advertised and sold to children. Insensitive and at the least in very poor taste to put it mildly, how would that look to today’s era of political correctness. But even greater insensitivity and downright frauds are being perpetrated today against children; and, alas, children grow up learning “Not as advertised” is the way the world works.

We know children are naïve and easily duped, but when I see advertising today directed at adults promising home loans without any points or closing costs, no appraisal fees, etc. these are identical to the claim children were going to see actual atoms flying about inside their Atomic Bomb rings. So I conclude such blatantly false advertising gets a pass because there are so many powerful people and so much money involved. Perhaps such things are only one of many ways in which the billions of dollars in drug money are laundered. In fact, the stock market probably reflects more about how the rich and powerful acts like the Mafia than anything approaching scrupulous business dealings. The very fact that scrupulous and business dealings are known to be an oxymoron says it all. What should it tell us about how corporations profited from both world wars, from Korea, Vietnam, and now the wars in the Middle East. As with “Press one for English,” amnesty and open borders, drugs, wars ongoing and potential, who profits?

Given the thoroughgoing corruption in government I don’t wonder amnesty for many millions of illegal aliens and open borders with Mexico for the sake of slave labor is being advocated by Caesar Bush and Congress. The fact that they are offering Atomic Bomb rings in which we “children” are guaranteed to see actual flying atoms, and the adults are being offered home loans without any fees whatsoever tells me what politicians really think of We the People. As for the corporate masters that own the politicians, these remind me of those trading on the bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki that were looking for profit by defrauding children. Where wealth and power are concerned as with the monsters in human guise, the spawn of Satan that prey on women and children, there is no such thing as conscience.

What kind of America would you be willing to die for, would you sacrifice your children to die for, and what kind of America are our troops being ordered to die for now? What kind of America did those we commemorate at this time die for? Walt Kelly had a strip going with the bats using a toy telephone that would communicate with the departed. If we had any such means of contacting the noble dead being commemorated by Memorial Day would we be asked to “Press one for English?”

For the time being Memorial Day isn’t being remembered with Mexican flags displayed, though there are some that seem to believe it should at the very least be flying alongside the American flag, and there are many places in America where this is actually the case, and if you attempt to call any number of places in America you will be asked to “Press one for English” and a Federal Dictatorship prints ballots in Spanish, forces courts, schools, and medical facilities provide services in Spanish. This is not the America those whose lives were sacrificed died for, it is the America of politicians and their corporate masters profiting from the invasion of millions of illegal aliens from the barbaric and totally corrupt nation of Mexico for the sake of slave labor profiting the wealthy of both nations. This at the same time Mexico is not held to account for its own citizens and cooperate in securing our common borders. If we could ask the noble dead to stand as a tribunal against the politicians and their corporate masters they would say they died for America not Mexico; and they would be speaking in English, not Spanish.

The fact that our rulers take advantage of Mexicans for the military, that some of these are killed as a consequence of fighting in the wars our politicians and their corporate masters make for power and profit does not blunt the fact that Memorial Day does not commemorate the dead of Mexico but of America, though Ronald Reagan made his own more than substantial contribution in confusing what this time of remembrance and paying a nation’s respect to those whose lives were sacrificed is supposed to be about.

Remember when Reagan laid a wreath on SS graves at Bitburg in May of 1985? “Hours earlier, Mr. Reagan stood before an obelisk at the site of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where 50,000 victims of the Nazis are buried in mass graves under mounds of heather... Jewish demonstrators from the United States, France, Britain, West Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Israel and other countries protested the President’s visit to Bergen-Belsen as well as the stop at Bitburg. They were joined by groups of veterans and politicians, many of them weeping. Rabbis Refuse to Attend. Although Roman Catholic and Protestant clergymen took part in the ceremonies at the Bergen-Belsen site, German rabbis refused to attend because of the Bitburg visit...”

Gerry Trudeau did a strip at the time in which he has Reagan very nearly calling those in the SS and even Hitler himself victims of the war. Did Reagan secretly admire Hitler and the Nazis? Few would come right out and say so, but then why didn’t Reagan understand that by granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens he was opening the floodgates to the invasion of America by Mexico? If Reagan was capable of crocodile tears at Bergen-Belsen followed by honoring the SS with a wreath what other evil was he capable of?

Thoreau called the railroad a “relative” good. But it was relative to the greater good he believed America might have accomplished without the slave labor of the Irish the railroads required. On the west coast, the railroads would require the slave labor of the Chinese. But even as an abolitionist Henry would never have agreed to the sacrifice of 600,000 lives for the sake of Lincoln’s War, nor would Harriet Stowe have ever set pen to paper if she knew how her novel would have been enormously successful propaganda for such a war.

There is cause to doubt whether it was in the best interests of the colonies to separate from England; that behind the moral forces supporting such a thing there was a very dark evil more concerned about wealth and power than any moral ideals. But once successful, why was the evil of slavery not abolished by our Constitution? We read the stories about those of the Founding Fathers that opposed slavery; that seemed in good conscience opposed to it but did not prevail. The short answer is slavery carried the day for the sake of profits. That it was an obvious evil in every sense failed to overcome the profit motive.

While those of us who see the Warren and 9/11 Commissions as a cover for the greater evil of those dedicated to wealth and power understand there is nothing such evil persons are incapable of, I would like to know what very important people were not in the towers at the time of the attack and what of supreme importance to such people was safely removed before 9/11?

Lists of the most interesting unexplained phenomena such as the beginning of the universe and including things like UFOs and ESP are being compiled all the time. Some of these items are downright spooky, as in ghosts. But among the most eerie phenomena is how America could come to the place our nation now finds itself in, ruled either by lunatics or those with a history of evil reaching back to the very beginning of humankind against which good people seem never to be able to prevail.

Refusal to secure our borders and expel illegal aliens is TREASON! This is the message I continue to send Caesar Bush and all those in Congress. Memorial Day will commemorate all the thousands of Americans whose lives were sacrificed by politicians so America could become “Press one for English,” the flag of Mexico could take precedence over the American flag, Americans that cannot read, write, and speak Spanish would have difficulty finding employment and judges and those in Congress could be sworn into office using the Koran instead of the Bible. A vast conspiracy of evil? I believe so, since the alternative seems to be a nation of lunatics led of lunatics dedicated to the destruction of America.

Are we expected to believe Congress is choosing the lesser of evils by cooperating with Caesar Bush? If so, I very much doubt the truth about the greater of the evils will ever be told We the People because only the most deeply engrained, profound and pervasive evil can possibly explain the actions of Caesar and Congress, immigration and Iraq being the damning indictment as evidence of this inescapable conclusion. And over all this evil, making it function are the legislators, judges, and lawyers that have made America a nation of slaves in which anyone can be sued for anything, anyone can lose their home or be cast into prison for a multitude of reasons and only the dogs feeding at Caesar’s table are spared.

By now even the most diehard Republicans and Democrats must realize we have a leadership in the White House and Congress determined to sell out the America of the Founding Fathers and my generation, determined to create a nation of slaves serving a Federal Dictatorship, determined to betray our nation for power and wealth. It becomes increasingly obvious Caesar Bush and Company wanted war in the Middle East and chose to ignore or lie about all the facts opposing such a thing. However, this could never have been carried out without a complicit Congress aiding and abetting Caesar in his mad dreams of conquest and empire. The blank check just handed Caesar to continue his mad dreams of conquest and empire is far more sinister than “caving in” on the part of Congress; this body that has long betrayed America and We the People is, quite simply, evil abetting and collaborating with evil. Bush is not simply a mad man; he is an evil mad man supported by those in Congress equally evil.

Compounding the pervasive evil throughout our government is the proposed immigration legislation that is so pointedly anti-American, determined to allow millions of illiterate slaves to invade America from Mexico all the while excusing, even abetting that corrupt nation to send its illiterate poor by the millions into our nation without any attempt to hold that barbaric and totally corrupt third world nation to account for its own citizens and borders. Not surprisingly, institutions like the Bank of America are complicit in encouraging this invasion of America.

But a government that can get away with killing JFK, as it did in fact, in order for someone like Caesar Bush to hold the most powerful office of the most powerful nation in history, for those like Edward Kennedy to continue to be elected and be such a force in Congress collaborating with Bush is capable of the most sinister and Machiavellian plans imaginable, including the use of nuclear weapons against Iran, of fomenting the use of nuclear terrorism including even here in America to its own ends. Given the scenario of the Warren and 9/11 Commissions, the refusal to secure our borders or expel illegal aliens and confront nations like Mexico and China, things like NAFTA and CAFTA, that is so involved with encouraging and profiting from the drug trade including the criminalizing of drugs leading to an increasing erosion of liberties and fomenting gang warfare that may demand the transition to martial law, I am forced to believe the very worst of our federal government, that there is no evil of which such a government is not capable for the sake of power and wealth benefiting only a few global masters like Caesar Bush.

Given the evidence Pat Buchanan may be correct; our leaders may be set on a path of national suicide, a danger I have been pointing out for a very long time. One only has to consider the fact there are over 600,000 Muslims in America that approve suicide bombers being used against us for the “glory of Allah” to know there is something dreadfully wrong in allowing such a fifth column preaching hatred of America in mosques across our nation to exist. That most of these mosques preaching hatred of America and encouraging such tactics are supported by Saudi Arabia should be of grave concern. But what is the basis for Caesar’s continued “friendship” with such an obvious enemy— Power and wealth.

In a world seeming dedicated to its own destruction and determined to plunge into Armageddon the “Parable of the Sower” makes too much sense for me to dismiss. When the question was put to Jesus as to whether only a few would be saved, he answered “Yes.” This haunted C. S. Lewis, as made clear in his Screwtape Letters. Even Thoreau questioned how any divinity could be found in the mass of humankind, and those gathering in churches for the most part profaned God, a thought he gleaned from Emerson; this without considering Islam, a woman-despising religion of the sword continuing to be so even in this “modern” age.

While I despise people that think they speak for God while quoting from the Bible and wanting to force themselves obnoxiously on others accordingly, nevertheless I continue to maintain my position the book holds the key to understanding the problem of good vs. evil, to understanding history and world events. Apart from its obvious weaknesses, the Bible is the very best source of the ancient myths and legends from which actual events may be inferred. The dictum “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend” has its obvious place in the Bible. Notwithstanding this many of the facts, along with honest intellectual speculation, may be gleaned from the legends of the Bible. Scholars of mythology understand that myths have their basis in facts, though they are facts long lost to such scholarship. Just so, Bible scholars like me understand this of the stories in the book. The wonder of the Bible is that while it contains some fabulous stories, so many of such stories current at the various times of Bible history were omitted.

The good and loving people I have known were not such because they believed the Bible was the word of God, they were good people because they lived their lives as good people, they lived by the precept of the Golden Rule and such good people are to be found throughout the world regardless of race, religion, or politics. The children of God and the children of the Devil are not such because of the words of men found in books like the Bible or Koran; they are such on the basis of their parentage. However, I believe the Bible gives us insights to what would otherwise leave me with the conclusion America is in fact a nation of lunatics led of lunatics. The book explains a battle ongoing between good and evil and gives me hope the citizenship of good people will yet be realized in heaven, a citizenship not of this world given over to evil.

This much I know, looking at the leadership of America, and the present crop of candidates seeking to rule I can easily believe they are motivated and elevated to power by Satan, not God, and good people seem impotent in attempting to promote good people to positions of power. And this is the situation as the Bible describes it, making much of the Bible as timely as today’s news.

Listening to politicians or most of the talking heads on TV cannot but remind one of the fellow going on at length to a young woman about his many attributes and finally says to her, “Well, enough about me, let’s talk about me.” Politics abounds with people like this fellow, the worst don’t even seem to realize how embarrassingly insincere they are when attempting to make We the People believe they really care about us.

Ask anyone and they will tell you sincerity means a lot to them when it comes to evaluating character. How is it politicians invariably miss this very important thing to voters? We all take note of the fact politicians in disarray over immigration and Iraq are single-minded about only one thing: Will their decisions come back to haunt them in the next election cycle. None of them are concerned about doing the right thing, none are concerned about what is best for America and We the People, only about the next election. Sincerity is not something anyone would accord any of those in Congress; it is a character defect of the first order among politicians that are infamous for lying to get elected, lying to stay elected, then use elected office as a license to steal, to feather their own nests while living their lives in an insulated world of privilege.

The wonder of it is that so many of these lying, thieving scoundrels from Caesar Bush on down are not killed. To my mind, it is evidence of the Devil taking care of his own. JFK is not the first person that comes to mind when it comes to character, however he was sincere about what was best for America; and this is what probably got him killed while Teddy comes through unscathed to do the Devil’s work like open borders inviting nuclear terrorism here in America. Ah, now we understand the common ground of President Bush and Senator Kennedy. Both are on the Devil’s payroll.

It is patently obvious both Bush and Kennedy have a pro-globalization, pro-wealth, pro-slavery agenda. In fact, it is only on this basis you will find anything of sincerity in them, but it is a sincerity born of evil. However, in the words of The Shadow “the tree of evil bears bitter fruit.”

While most of us like to consider sincerity as a virtue, we know a person can be sincerely wrong. It is when such sincerity is found in suicide bombers for example the evil of such sincerity is made painfully obvious; but the sincerity of those like Bush and Kennedy is no less evil. Political correctness in the MSM that would transform illegal aliens into “immigrants” places America in harm’s way by making those who know the harm “Press one for English” is doing to our nation, want secure borders and illegal aliens expelled from America “racists.” This also is the Devil’s doing, an evil sincerity working to the harm of America.

There is a spirit of truth and a spirit of error; and sincerity alone is not enough to discriminate between the two. No one can doubt fanatical Muslims want to destroy America and Israel, neither can anyone doubt these Muslims are very sincere, but neither can any rational person fail to understand it is an evil sincerity. But Bush and those in Congress are guilty of the very same evil sincerity, having only their own sincerely selfish motives as their agenda, a sincerely selfish agenda that is playing directly into the hands of the enemies of America.

As a writer and author of long years’ experience I have reviewed many manuscripts. Sam Clemens pointed out how disastrous the use of a wrong word; I have noticed the same thing in regard to the lack of sincerity by some writers. I may begin in the most charitable frame of mind toward some writer, and then their choice of a word or phrase may betray them for what they really are, people so self-absorbed and egotistical they don’t notice how they betray themselves. Harper Lee was quite pointed in her criticism of the universities failing to teach writing, and by personal experience I know the truth of her criticism. Certainly as she said a writer writes first to please themselves, not an audience. But if you are writing to communicate with others it is the audience that is important, and if this is not sincerely evident you are not going to have an audience.

Can anyone possibly believe Americans are as stupidly hedonistic as TV and the MSM portrays us? To most of the world that only knows America and Americans by what they see and hear from these sources it makes for a very dangerous situation. This evil of greed and avarice, the utter lack of sincere concern on the part of politicians and MSM for the welfare of America is apparent to the world. But it comes down to who controls the propaganda being disseminated by politicians, TV and the MSM.

Whether by speaking or writing sincerity is an absolute need in order to communicate. The whole world has cause to wonder how those in our government, so many on TV and in the MSM can possibly fail to understand this simple dictum. Just as lovers seek such in each other, in their speech and letters, in just this way We the People have the right to expect those who would speak and write for us to show their sincerity, and the sincerity of truth rather than the sincerity of evil.

Mom was a real “shutterbug,” and I’m glad she was; otherwise I wouldn’t have some of the really great pictures of so many places here in Kern County and elsewhere during the 30s and 40s. But one picture mom took in a Honolulu bar while she was in Hawaii is of some of her friends. There are three young sailors, and two young women shown hoisting their glasses toward mom as she was taking their picture. They are smiling and laughing, just really happy young people and the picture makes me believe mom and those other young people had found heaven on earth. Full of youth and the joy of life in a beautiful land; and no doubt all had their hopes and dreams that life would continue to be full of joy and promise. A few days after mom took the picture the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.

In such a brief moment of time our lives can go from heaven on earth to being hell on earth. It may come from the death of a child or other loved one, it may come because of an accident or catastrophic illness or bombs falling, but once it has happened you find yourself realizing heaven is not to be found on earth. And for countless millions throughout the world life is nothing but hell on earth, countless millions seeming to be born to no other purpose but to suffer and die, and too often suffering and dying because of the decisions of tyrants and despots. Where is heaven for these countless millions?

“Lot a people talkin’ ‘bout heaven ain’t a’ goin’ there.” It’s a statement I first recall hearing as a child in our small church in Little Oklahoma, and the truth of it became increasingly clear to me the older I became. Eventually I would hear a goodly number of people talking about heaven who, in my opinion, certainly wouldn’t be going there, and I came to appreciate the comment by Huck Finn that if his friend Tom Sawyer wasn’t going to heaven he would prefer “that other place.” And I suppose Sam Clemens had met enough of those talkin’ ‘bout heaven he believed sure weren’t a’ goin’ there, but if they were he would certainly prefer “that other place.”

We hear a lot about faith, about “people of faith,” but in my experience there are few people that really know what the word actually means. A dictionary isn’t of much help when it comes to the Biblical definition of the word: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Those people of faith listed in Hebrews chapter eleven are said to have died in faith thereby confessing “that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth” and desired “a better country, that is, an heavenly.”

Ah, there we have it. People of faith according to the Bible know this world is not their home; they are only passing through. And such people are to be distinguished by their lives of faith evidencing their hope is not in this world seen, but in a heavenly one unseen. And such people living by the Golden Rule evidencing their hope in a better world unseen only pitch a tent in this world, they don’t settle down in it. Such people are “strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”

From the story in Genesis we get some idea of how the earth was blasted by sin and came to be groaning for its redemption, that until this happens and there are new heavens and a new earth “wherein dwelleth righteousness” Satan remains the god of this world. From the story in Genesis we get some idea of there being in fact “children of God” and “children of the Devil” as Jesus described later. So in addition to Nature red in tooth and claw, of having to contend with an earth bringing forth weeds to be overcome, there is Satan and his spawn to make sure the children of God are made to suffer.

We read a lot about love in the Bible. Jesus said to love God and your neighbor as yourself was “all the law and the prophets,” there is John 3:16 and that thirteenth chapter of I Corinthians, the First Epistle of John, and we read God places such a premium on love that it “covers a multitude of sins.”

Even as a child I was troubled by this thing of loving God. How could someone possibly love God? I could understand believing in God, I could understand being afraid of God because of doing wrong, I could understand someone serving God, but I could not understand how anyone could actually love God, and I had doubts about many that said they loved God.

I’ve read the Bible through many times and it has been a lifelong study of mine. I know all that the Bible has to say on the subject of love. What eventually became clear to me about loving God is the love we have for others. It was those I loved that gradually taught me what loving God was really all about. Over the years as I lost loved ones and friends, they remained close to me because I continued to love them. They all had their own hopes and dreams, but these were never selfish hopes and dreams, they always included those they loved.

And so the question finally came to me; does God have his hopes and dreams? Now I don’t know if there is a God, or even gods and goddesses. But I believe in the love the Bible talks about, I believe in the love my departed loved ones and friends had for me and I had for them, my own love for them still continuing unabated. The thing is whatever their hopes and dreams, largely unfulfilled in this life, these required many sacrifices on their part in their attempts, sacrifices that were unselfish, sacrifices made by loving people for those like me that they loved.

So I have concluded as the Bible has it that the love of God is fulfilled in those that love, that loving people are the children of God, and as such must love God. All the hopes and dreams of my loved ones now gone on before me, I was a part of their hopes and dreams. And while we disappointed each other in this life, while we all failed in many ways of our expectations for one another, love covers a multitude of sins. I take comfort in the thought that when I die I will rejoin my departed loved ones and friends, that all of our hopes and dreams will be fulfilled in a heaven where there will be nothing to interfere with the hopes and dreams we all have that are based on loving one another, and find the love of God fulfilled in us because we love one another.

In this demon-haunted world that seems to be in the grip of Satan, where the good is so impotent against such evil everywhere, I take comfort in my thoughts of heaven, a place where the hopes and dreams of loving people find their fulfillment, and perhaps even the hopes and dreams of God. The universe must have a meaning, and most of us believe our lives have meaning within the context of the creation of the universe; which, to me, means there is a very great plan involved beyond our understanding. But whatever this meaning may be, I think it is built upon the hopes and dreams of loving people, that this is the plan for the hopes and dreams of God.

Faith is, as the Bible has it, “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” But real faith has those with the hope born of faith looking for “a better country, that is an heavenly” and live their lives accordingly; especially in the love we have for one another that is a testimony to the world that we are the children of God. And this does not depend on any system of religion or philosophy; it does not depend on anything but love.

Like many of you I have seen and experienced things that cannot be accounted for by either science or reason; things that defy any logical explanation. As a result, I don’t discount the supernatural though I doubt many of the claims made by some, especially those who try to profit from such claims. Still, for those of us who lived the years of WWII we can recall much of the supernatural being given credence during that era, especially in Japan and Germany. As difficult as it is for people today to believe, many millions of people died during WWII on the basis of religious beliefs, and today we find the same thing confronting the world on a potentially even greater scale equaling the worst scenarios from apocalyptic literature.

But one of several reasons beyond my own experiences with the “unexplained” for my believing in things supernatural is that it takes more than the seven deadly sins to account for the success of things like the assassination of JFK with all that followed, the fairytales of the Warren Commission together with sealing of documents till 2025 and the long string of “coincidences” that have kept the facts of his assassination and all that followed concealed. It takes magic, the kind of magic that goes far beyond mere legerdemain and lends credence to every manner of conspiracy theory including those surrounding 9/11. Would our own government be involved with such a thing as aiding, if not in fact complicit in planning the Attack on America? Given the recent history of our government, especially following WWII, and the present vacuum of real leadership, the absolute absence of decisions in the best interests of America and We the People it is easy to assume the worst; this being a global conspiracy of evil.

Things like séances and various forms of magic and divination have been common to rulers throughout human history. In the Old Testament we read that Joseph had a “silver cup of divination,” some even supposing Jesus had such a cup and this giving rise to the theory of the Holy Grail. Throughout Scripture credence is given to the visions of prophets, the casting of lots and other such things that many today discount as superstitious nonsense. But despite all the advances of our modern world, despite modern science astrology remains popular, people still enjoy reading their horoscopes, and even those little strips from fortune cookies seem to demand a glance. The history of “divination” is as old as humankind, and secret societies today continue to practice various rites and incantations as they have always done.

Some scoff at the credence Nancy Reagan gave to astrology, but the present “debate” over immigration reminds me that Scrying has a long history, and trying to make sense of the prevailing lunacy of the present White House and Congress I suppose a crystal ball or peepstone, or any number of hallucinogens would serve as well as any attempts to apply reason in seeking answers to such prevailing lunacy. The whole world has cause to believe Caesar Bush uses such techniques to make decisions that are those of a lunatic. Perhaps he has a secret room where candles are lit, where incense is burned and he partakes of magic mushrooms or other like substances while he performs rituals and gazes into his crystal ball communicating with the spirits for guidance in making his decisions on behalf of God. It wouldn’t surprise me.

In fact, since keeping people from rebellion requires they be kept drugged or entertained, the alternative to otherwise imprisoning the masses that are needed for slave labor, it makes sense of our leaders refusing to secure our borders, that they remain open for the easy access to slave labor, drugs, and the MSM not be allowed to disseminate the truth, but, rather, to keep the Great Unwashed ignorant and entertained.

Years ago cartoonists were having their joke about TV, that when it came to the “opiate of the masses” Marx had not seen anything yet. And true enough, what with TV, electronic games and the Internet there is dope enough to subdue multiplied millions of people worldwide without the aid of other drugs.

If in fact there is a global conspiracy of evil, in my opinion it began with the abrupt and sudden rise of civilization some 11,500 years ago, the record of this finding its way into the Genesis story. In the words of some scientists as they seek answers to the origin of life while finding it on earth in some very inhospitable environments “it may be necessary to reconsider existing paradigms for the minimum requirements for life.” But that line from Young Frankenstein reminds that with very few exceptions there is a vast difference between a worm and a man, and in reality there is a vast difference between microbes and human beings. As to that date of civilization, consider the following:

Comet chilled and killed Ice Age beasts. Extraterrestrial explosion could have devastated mastodons of the day. By Jeanna Bryner, staff writer for LiveScience. May 21, 2007. An extraterrestrial object with a three-mile girth might have exploded over southern Canada nearly 13,000 years ago, wiping out an ancient Stone Age culture as well as megafauna like mastodons and mammoths. The blast could be to blame for a major cold spell called the Younger Dryas that occurred at the end of the Pleistocene Epoch, a period of time spanning from about 1.8 million years ago to 11,500 years ago. Research, presented today at a meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in Acapulco, Mexico, could shed light on major questions about the megafauna extinction, the disappearance of the Clovis people, and an abrupt climate change. “Based on the distribution of material, it looks like this impact probably occurred in southern Canada near the Great Lakes, over what at that time would have been a major glacier, the Laurentide ice sheet,” said one of the presenters, Richard Firestone of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory...

Whatever the origin of earth and life, the dinosaurs had to make way for other life forms. These in turn had to die off to make way for Modern Man and civilization beginning those 11,500 years ago. It is at this point the Genesis account makes sense. It also makes sense of the Biblical account of good and evil, of how it happened the earth became Satan’s domain.

Devil or not, discounting the supernatural simply won’t do. Earth winning the space lottery against impossible odds and the long string of “coincidences” resulting in Modern Man and civilization defies any scientific explanation. Much as ascribing the assassination of JFK to Oswald acting alone and then attempting to explain the long string of “coincidences” following notwithstanding the Warren Commission coverup, a virtual blueprint for the infamous 9/11 Commission, those that would like to discount the supernatural at work throughout human history are guilty of being blind to the obvious.

There is a wealth of material available now on the Internet covering all these subjects mentioned. Granting you have to become educated and able to discern between reliable and unreliable sources, nevertheless the material is readily available for study. But no amount of attempting to discount the supernatural from the beginning of our universe to human affairs on earth will suffice. Eventually you come up against the probability factors that militate against rational explanations for such things.

Whatever one believes, there has to be a reason for so many ancient rites and rituals, so many things like Scrying and astrology continuing to have credence among even the best educated today, that the best minds such as those of Newton and Einstein credited the supernatural. Eventually science fails in the face of too many “coincidences,” in the face of too many things far beyond science to explain. And if our own leadership from the White House and Congress on down continues on a path of destruction for America including inviting nuclear terrorism, even the growing threat of nuclear Armageddon worldwide, how else than the supernatural influence of evil explain such a destructive course?

Young Frankenstein is one of my very favorite funny films. I’m far from being alone since the AFI has it number 13 on its list of the 100 funniest American movies ever made. From insisting he be called “Fronkensteen” and calling his grandfather a nutcase, the grandson is led to read the book “How I Did It” and exclaims “It could work!” For those who know the history of the original Mary Shelley Frankenstein and how the mysterious forces of electricity and magnetism were being used in both science and quackery of the times, Gene Wilder’s “It could work!” is something still believed by quite a few people.

In many ways both electricity and magnetism continue to be the mysterious forces they were at the time of the original Frankenstein story, and some of the theories of how life began require the electricity of lightning. It can be supposed this was the “breath of God” in the Genesis account, something very much like the Frankenstein story. Even after heeding the wise dictum that once you have exhausted all the possibilities of the probable in seeking an answer there remains the improbable as the only remaining solution, there are improbabilities beyond human ability to entertain. There is a very good reason some scientists say there are things “unknowable” about our universe, that there are things beyond even our capacity to imagine.

The beginning of our universe is difficult enough to imagine, but what of the instrumentality preceding our universe responsible for the original material; where did that come from? Far beyond our science; and even far beyond our imagination, things not requiring atomic structure for their existence for example.

But the Genesis story might not only be alluding to electricity, lightning, as the breath of God, but also may credit his using the “dust of the earth” for life forms. It may be no accident that our bodies are often referred to as “clay.”

The following points are made by Eörs Szathmary (Nature 2005 433:469): In investigating the origin of life and the simplest possible life forms, one needs to enquire about the composition and working of a minimal cell that has some form of metabolism, genetic replication from a template, and boundary (membrane) production. Identifying the necessary and sufficient features of life has a long tradition in theoretical biology. But living systems are products of evolution, and an answer in very general terms, even if possible, is likely to remain purely phenomenological. Going deeper into mechanisms means having to account for the organization of various processes, and such organization has been realized in several different ways by evolution. Eukaryotic cells (such as those from which we are made) are much more complicated than prokaryotes (such as bacteria), and eukaryotes harbor organelles that were once free-living bacteria. A further complication is that multicellular organisms consist of building blocks—cells—that are also alive. So aiming for a general model of all kinds of living beings would be fruitless; instead, such models have to be tied to particular levels of biological organization. Two recent workshops reviewed the state of the art in artificial cell research, much of which focuses on self-replicating lipid vesicles. David Deamer (Univ. of California, Santa Cruz) and Pier Luigi Luisi (ETH Zurich) each described the production of lipids using light energy, and the template-directed self-replication of RNA within a lipid vesicle. In addition, Luisi demonstrated the polymerization of amino acids into proteins on the vesicle surface, which acts as a catalyst for the polymerization process. The principal hurdle remains the synthesis of efficient RNA replicases and related enzymes entirely within an artificial cell. Martin Hanczyc (Harvard Univ.) showed how the formation of lipid vesicles can be catalyzed by encapsulated clay particles with RNA adsorbed on their surfaces. This suggests that encapsulated clay could catalyze both the formation of lipid vesicles and the polymerization of RNA...

So, the story in Genesis and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein may have scientific validity in the use of clay and electricity. But it would serve well to keep this caveat in mind when attempting to force some simplistic view of evolution on people: “Identifying the necessary and sufficient features of life has a long tradition in theoretical biology. But living systems are products of evolution, and an answer in very general terms, even if possible, is likely to remain purely phenomenological.”

Please note the doublespeak of attempting to be “scientific” while at the same time using phrases like “theoretical biology” and “an answer in very general terms, even if possible, is likely to remain purely phenomenological.” If possible? Purely phenomenological? It won’t do; these are not answers, only labels in lieu of understanding. In my opinion the story in Genesis is a far better abstract of what comes closest to the truth of the matter. I may not be satisfied with the errors of Creation, but both benevolent and malevolent gods at war resulting in the chaos and confusion to be found in good vs. evil, a universe hostile to life and Nature red in tooth and claw at least makes some sense of things. And it remains intelligent life, self-aware and cognitive as represented in human beings continues to hold the distinction of being the longest shot in the universal lottery.

Take this for example: World’s smallest life form discovered. Shasta County mine yields mini-microbe. New York Times, Saturday, December 23, 2006: The smallest form of life known to science just got smaller. Four million of the newly discovered microbe—assuming the discovery, reported Friday in the journal Science, is confirmed—could fit into the period at the end of this sentence. Scientists found the microbes living in a remarkably inhospitable environment, drainage water as caustic as battery acid from a mine in Northern California. The microbes, members of an ancient family of organisms known as archaea, formed a pink scum on green pools of hot mine water laden with toxic metals, including arsenic. “It was amazing,” said Jillian Banfield of UC Berkeley, a member of the discovery team. “These were totally new.” In their paper, the scientists call the microbes “smaller than any other known cellular life form.” Scientists say the discovery could bear on estimates of the pervasiveness of exotic microbial life, which some experts suspect forms a hidden biosphere extending miles underground whose total mass may exceed that of all surface life...

While some are attempting to extrapolate this to the possibility of life on other planets throughout the universe, there is simply no evidence to suggest our planet with its possibly unique structure of “a hidden biosphere extending miles underground whose total mass may exceed that of all surface life” exists elsewhere. Just to place life here on our planet into the phenomenological is to say science does not have an answer to the mystery of the origin of life or an answer to what, exactly, life is. And without an answer to these questions, in my opinion the story in Genesis remains the standard, and the simplistic catch-all term “evolution” does not answer the greater questions of life, our solar system or the universe. But then I agree with those who say some things are “unknowable,” at least while we are confined to these mortal bodies of clay.

Now that the cat is out of the bag just how likely is it those scientists are going to be permitted to test the bullet fragments from JFK’s assassination, especially since the very powers involved with his assassination have so much to lose. The wonder of it to me is that even the announcement of such a possibility was allowed to surface. But once you factor in Marilyn Monroe, RFK, and a multitude of “coincidences” and the fact government commissions lie to protect the guilty no amount of trying to lay the conspiracy to rest is going to suffice, notwithstanding the single damning point the Carcano carbine quite simply would not have been the weapon of choice by any knowledgeable shooter, alone or otherwise. Believe Bugliosi? Not on the proverbial stack of Bibles.

But whatever the outcome of this recent threat to expose the lies of the Warren Commission and its lackeys, it remains those in our leadership lie to us; and sometimes the lies are so huge and grotesque as to be literally mind stultifying to rational people. I’m all for a war against Muslim fanatics fought to win, a war that is clearly defined and the enemy clearly defined and our troops are allowed to kill the enemy rather than suffer and die to no purpose when our own leadership is in bed with enemies like Saudi Arabia that build the mosques and schools right here in America preaching hatred of Americans!

Given the enormity of the things already done, and done with impunity and no accountability it can too easily be supposed things are in the works to bomb Iran whether by Bush or by Israel. After all, what does Bush have to lose? His idea of globalization would seem to be much like that of all those who believed they should rule the world, that God has ordained him to fill the position as the leader of the most powerful nation in history and his destiny to use this position for God’s purpose.

I don’t know, but I don’t discount the supernatural in the affairs of humankind, and anyone simply skimming the various present scientific theories of the universe will find God and angels have plenty of elbow room in which to dwell and work. But there is plenty of room as well in present theories for those like me looking for answers to what may be a conspiracy of evil with the Devil in charge. However, no matter what one believes most would agree those like George Bush and Iran’s mad mullah both purporting to be speaking for God simply cannot be trusted to act rationally. And few would disagree when someone holding great power over others declares they are God’s divinely appointed and anointed to fulfill their “destiny” on God’s behalf the door is open to monumental human suffering as a result.

Those purporting to be “liberals’ may find comfort in their smug self-righteous assumed moral superiority, but they are in no better case and are no more to be trusted than those purporting to be on God’s side in their conservatism. The conspiracy of evil I believe to be the enemy of humankind works both sides and destroys all attempts to find an accommodation to a middle ground of moderation. For example, the ACLU is as vehemently opposed to such moderation as ever Jerry Falwell was. And when such disparate factions wield power you are going to have conflict, not attempts to ameliorate differences.

I really enjoy those two Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz; the flights of fancy into ancient Egypt complete with the magic and curses, the great scenery and special effects, the funny dialogue, all marvelous escapism to me. But is there really only a fine line between coincidence and fate? Granted fate as such is only a belief, but it is one that finds common ground in most religions, even among many people that profess to have no religious beliefs.

Among some of the more curious areas of scientific experimentation is trying to determine if fruit flies possess free will. While it isn’t a popular sport today, not that long ago you could find yourself in a physical brawl over Predestination vs. Free Will. And in Muslim nations it remains a cause of virtual blood-letting. But maybe science will settle the argument:

Study hints that fruit flies have free will. Findings could shed light on human choices, neurobiologist says. By Charles Q. Choi. Special to LiveScience. May 15, 2007: A spark of free will may exist in even the tiny brain of the humble fruit fly, based on new findings that could shed light on the nature and evolution of free will in humans. Future research delving further into free will could lead to more advanced robots, scientists added. The result, joked neurobiologist Björn Brembs from the Free University Berlin, could be “world robot domination.” “Seriously though,” Brembs said that programming robots with aspects of free will “may lead to more realistic and probably even more efficient behavior, which could be decisive in truly autonomous robots needed for planetary exploration.” Better understanding aspects of free will in humans also could aid in the treatment of mental disorders where people face problems controlling how they feel, think or act, such as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anorexia nervosa, schizophrenia or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Brembs told LiveScience...

When I read the article the thought crossed my mind it is remarkable there are actually scientists who would think of testing for free will in fruit flies. You have to admit this is not the stuff of burning curiosity among most people, not even among scientists. But here it is, testing fruit flies for free will. Marvelous! This at the same time there are those in Muslim nations still emasculating baby girls and stoning people to death over matters of religion. Quite a contrast between civilized nations and those of barbarians.

However, there is the disquieting suggestion in such science of controlling human behavior to an extraordinary degree for the sake of “efficiency.” Previous discoveries in nanotechnology have led to some male wags suggesting that slipping a few nanobots into women’s coffee and getting Stepford Wives already seemed like a good idea. Now suppose China steals the technology, as they are wont to do; the mind reels with the possibilities! But despite Muslims trying to make automatons of women subject to men, I wonder if they would go along with such a program. Is there anything in their religion that would forbid some scientific nudging in the direction they already require of women?

It’s all very interesting to me, but the way things are heating up with Israel and the Middle East, an incompetent, to be charitable, leadership in America, and my own ideas concerning a vast conspiracy of evil of Biblical proportions it may all prove to be moot in any event. It may not matter in the end if any of us are free will fruit flies or predestination fruit cakes when one or the other has itchy fingers on nuclear triggers. Maybe I will yet resort to lighting candles in the face of so much prevailing, dark lunacy.

By now I suppose most people know the Warren Commission was a whitewash riddled with inaccuracies and downright lies. While it was an amusing scene in the film Armageddon, I didn’t laugh at Bruce Willis asking if the government would tell him who really shot JFK. The world was in danger of being destroyed and still the government wouldn’t answer the question. Are there really some secrets held so “sacred” to government insiders they will be carried to the grave of even our own planet? One might well be excused for thinking so. Such Machiavellian secrecy on the part of our government undoubtedly boosts Scientology and a host of other beliefs, even encouraging fanatical Muslims like bin Laden that believe “the pious caliphate will start from Afghanistan.” So, are American President’s like Clinton and Bush committed to evil conspiracies? And if one like JFK doesn’t play along he gets “eliminated?”

When they held that Carcano carbine up for all to see immediately following the assassination of JFK I was dumbfounded and my immediate thought was they can’t be serious! As a gunsmith with extensive knowledge of firearms I knew the Carcano carbine was rated the worst among the guns used during WWII, and I actually owned one as a curiosity piece together with a box of the ammo. As the story unfolded on TV and elsewhere I kept expecting someone to debunk the Carcano and lone shooter claptrap. We were expected to believe someone like Oswald knowledgeable of firearms would use such a weapon. This in spite of the fact that no knowledgeable person would believe you improved the accuracy of such a piece of junk like the Carcano carbine with a scope; in fact, no knowledgeable person would waste the time and money mounting a scope on such a piece of junk; and to use this junk for such an important target? Ridiculous! And that elongated unstable bullet, even an expert handloader wasn’t going to be able to drive nails with that round, and one not even boat-tailed to improve the ballistics, notwithstanding the infamous inaccuracy of the carbine itself!

No matter how later “tests” were staged in attempts to show the Carcano carbine could have been used to kill JFK, despite all the other evidence pointing to a conspiracy the fact remained it could not have been the weapon of choice for any knowledgeable shooter given such an important target. But if the scheme was to make Oswald the patsy for a much darker conspiracy the Carcano carbine would serve as well as any other. And while no knowledgeable person could be so deluded as to believe this type of gun would actually be the weapon of choice for the purpose, not only would most people know nothing about a gun like the Carcano carbine one thing the conspirators could depend on: If people saw it on TV (remember the line by Jack Nicholson in The Shining) they would probably believe it. Then, it only remained for the conspirators to give it the imprimatur of fact by convening a commission to approve the lies.

Knowing all this, I read the following with great interest: Scientists cast doubt on Kennedy bullet analysis. Multiple shooters possible, study says. By John Solomon, The Washington Post May 17, 2007: “In a collision of 21st-century science and decades-old conspiracy theories, a research team that includes a former top FBI scientist is challenging the bullet analysis used by the government to conclude that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in assassinating President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The ‘evidence used to rule out a second assassin is fundamentally flawed,’ concludes a new article in the Annals of Applied Statistics written by former FBI lab metallurgist William A. Tobin and Texas A&M University researchers Cliff Spiegelman and William D. James...”

Whatever the outcome this much I know. We the People were lied to about JFK and the Warren Commission was a whitewash riddled with lies. We were lied to about Korea and Vietnam, we have been lied to about Iraq, so who can blame anyone for coming to the conclusion the 9/11 Commission is a whitewash riddled with lies? There is Sandy Berger caught red-handed attempting to cover up for the Clintons, and who can be faulted for believing our own government may have been behind the Attack on America? In point of fact, all We the People are left with is the knowledge our government lies to us, and has been guilty of such monumental lies in the past we have just cause to wonder whether our government will tell us the truth about anything?

It is patently ridiculous to watch the present crop of political contenders refusing to offer sensible solutions to securing our borders, the ongoing wars, trade policies, and so many other things of monumental importance to our very survival as a nation. And I am increasingly convinced of a conspiracy of evil pervading throughout our government.

As a rational human being I know there has to be more than just the ordinary greed and avarice at work when so many of our elected leaders are obvious liars and thieves, but none are held accountable for being such liars and thieves. Committees are appointed, Commissions are formed, and the outcome is inevitably to whitewash, lie, and let the evildoers go free. The lunacy of impeaching Clinton for sex and failing to hold Bush accountable for lying us into wars boggles the mind! How to make any sense of such lunacy? But both Clinton and Bush continue unscathed, both proven liars, both possibly companions in an evil conspiracy of such magnitude their differences matter nothing thereby explaining what otherwise would be lunacy.

Maybe there is a Devil, maybe the earth is his domain as the Scripture declares and Faust is more fact than fiction. Whether or not, our own government reflects far more of Mussolini’s favorite The Prince than anything in the mind of our Founding Fathers. And despite all the evidence of We the People suffering the organized robbery and tyranny of a Federal Triune Dictatorship we seem powerless in the face of such monumental evil.

It was a funny scene in the film Independence Day when it is revealed to the President that Area 51 actually existed complete with an alien spacecraft and alien bodies, but it is far more likely our President’s know more than they are willing to share of the truth about anything, and I continue to wish there really was a Klaatu coming to confront the madness of our rulers. In the meantime, we have leaders that lie to us, and lie on such a scale that it defies reason, and I keep thinking there has to be an explanation for why the good seems impotent against so much evil throughout the world, why as Emerson pointed out those like Socrates and Jesus leave no class.

Hitler’s generals realized too late the direction he was leading Germany. Will our own generals realize this of Bush in time? Is a Seven Days in May in the offing? When things begin to spiral out of control, the unthinkable often becomes the reality. Like concentration camps here in America, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, these were unthinkable until they became a reality.

While enduring some part of the GOP “debate” last night I was reminded of P. T. Bridgeport’s “wind-up candidates.” Since the time of Walt Kelly’s spoof of presidential candidates nothing has changed for the better among either Republicans or Democrats. What We the People are still being offered is wind-up toys, cookie-cutter mannequins as choices. It crossed my mind that to have persons like Jerry Falwell and Al Sharpton on the stage would at least have been interesting, and in their cases you would at least be entertained. A “What you see is what you get” choice would at least be a choice.

One thing has changed, however, and that is the amount of blatant corruption to be found in the White House and Congress. It’s one thing to treat elected office as a license to steal, but quite another when it is flaunted shamelessly for the whole world to see on a daily basis and the whole bunch are so corrupt none of them dare hold any of the others accountable. But it is obvious in a divided “Press one for English” America, something those advocating for Mexican slave labor to satisfy Corporate Greed do not seem to realize is increasing the anger and resentment toward Mexico and Mexicans throughout our nation, things are spiraling out of control as those lusting for power stumble about like blind men trying to grab the gold ring, seemingly oblivious of the fact America lacking any leaders of virtue is like a house of cards inviting collapse, and the mounting corruption in the White House and Congress could cause the collapse of America as a nation. I repeat from earlier writings:

There are times when the “unthinkable” becomes thinkable by force of circumstances and there is no muddling through. For those of us who lived that era of WWII and went on to study the history of the war at length it is impossible to miss some very disturbing parallels to what is happening with our present government and that of Germany leading to the Nuremberg Tribunal.

That our present White House has become so ultra-secretive is a case in point. One cannot but help wondering what the President and his administration have to hide? Once secrecy for whatever reason is invoked, especially on the seemingly too oft specious argument “national security” all becomes suspect. None of us question the need of secrecy where actual national security may be at risk, there are valid cases of “need to know,” but there is Sandy Berger. And we know there are many Berger’s in the present administration.

But there is little in the Congress to give us hope corruption in government will be ended, or even contained. When it comes to politics it is business as usual and we would be hard pressed to point to any one politician and say we have faith in that person to act with virtue. Some say they have faith, but let’s see them prove that faith by their works.

Sen. Gordon Smith, a moderate Republican from Oregon who has been a supporter of the war in Iraq, said months ago “the U.S. military’s tactics have failed and he cannot support that anymore.” Smith went on to say he is at, “the end of my rope when it comes to supporting a policy that has our soldiers patrolling the same streets in the same way, being blown up by the same bombs, day after day… That is absurd...It may even be criminal.”

While Smith’s use of the word “criminal” has caused him to do some furious back-peddling the word has been used, and there is no going back from it. He may have fallen under the spell of his own rhetoric, a typical cause of politicians putting their foot in their mouth, but many understood the enormity of such a word being used. I certainly understand it and had already written about it back in April before Smith uttered the word, knowing as I do the lessons of history and human nature teach there is nothing too fantastic to imagine happening in a world seemingly lunatic because of being dominated by religious and political hatreds.

While Hitler’s underlings “were just following orders,” while Hitler received “credit” as the architect of Nazism, his generals and others faced Nuremberg, the verdict of both that tribunal and that of history. I maintain Caesar Bush and his underlings will yet face a “Nuremberg” in absentia if not in reality.

In addition to the list of crimes on the part of Caesar’s underlings, is Caesar’s own betrayal of America through selling out our nation…with the cooperation of a treasonous Congress refusing to secure our borders and for betraying We the People to a half trillion dollar debt, Globalization, Outsourcing, NAFTA, CAFTA, La Raza, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia, all with the clear intent of making Americans slave labor to benefit the wealthy, ruling elite! We are going to hear more people using the word IMPEACH! But can an equally corrupt Congress sold out to corporate masters, all of them in the same bed betraying America and refusing to secure our borders thereby inviting nuclear terrorism be expected to follow through?

Those of us who lived the years of WWII and Nuremberg, who know the history of that era, know circumstances can lead to the unthinkable. None of the ordinary citizens of Germany or Japan could possibly believe how catastrophic for them would be the decisions their leaders were making. None of us at the time could possibly believe there would be concentration camps being set up right here in America. But when corrupt leadership betrays the ordinary citizens of any nation, the unthinkable often and cataclysmically becomes the reality. It would be foolish for any to say it can’t happen again when the circumstances are pointing to it happening again.

With the death of Jerry Falwell today we mark the passing of an American icon of Christian Fundamentalism; and quite frankly I will miss him notwithstanding my having long departed from his form of Christian orthodoxy. Whatever the legitimate criticism of Jerry he was consistent in his Biblical message as he interpreted it. While my only conversation with Jerry several years ago was to say the least unproductive, nevertheless I have always credited him with being consistent. And that counts for a lot when you know where a person stands; would that politicians were as transparent.

However, upon hearing of Jerry’s death, as uncharitable as it seems, one of the first things that came to my mind was something I had read years ago of the meeting between C. H. Spurgeon and D. L. Moody. The writer shared an amusing anecdote of the American evangelist telling the English preacher as he lit one of his well-known and favorite cigars; “Brother Spurgeon, don’t you know that is sin.” Spurgeon poked his finger at Moody’s ample stomach and replied, “Dear brother Moody, don’t you know that is sin.”

One of the more unkind remarks made about Moody is that “He dug his grave with a fork,” though anyone who has seen pictures of him can see he never missed a meal. The same can be said for Falwell. But it was that exchange between Moody and Spurgeon that emphasized the differences between believers, how sin is often defined depending on the particular beliefs. Jesus was accused by the Pharisees of being a drunkard and glutton; and while obesity hardly commends taking care of the “temple,” I won’t call it sin but I’d appreciate others not calling my smoking a sin. Not that it matters much anymore what anyone calls sin in my life.

One of my great old friends, J. Vernon McGee would tell the story of a group of German Christians visiting America. The Germans condemned the immodest dress of American Christian women, and the American’s condemned the Germans for drinking beer. Once in a while just to emphasize this point McGee would repeat the story of a traveller stopping for gas, and as the attendant was filling his tank the traveller remarked on the number of church spires dotting the town in the valley below, saying, “My, the people in that town must love God.” The attendant replied, “I don’t know about that, but I know they sure hate each other.” You see, Peyton Place and the Harper Valley PTA do not have a monopoly on hypocrisy.

Jon Voight’s new film, September Dawn, is bringing down the wrath of Mormons especially. Voight defends the historical accuracy of his film, the massacre of 120 men, women, and children ordered by Brigham Young beyond any historical contradiction, and at the same time makes the point all would do well to heed: “My own spiritual philosophy has always been: do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” This adherence to the Golden Rule as Jesus pointed out, and doubtless Voight believes, would save suffering humankind a lot of grief if practiced.

Well, Jerry Falwell’s detractors are not expected to mourn his passing. Many will point out he was guilty of promoting the very thing of McGee’s gas station attendant story. But it isn’t any different in the political sphere. For example, the headline blazons “Anti-immigrant legislation passes in Texas town.” No, neither the people nor their town is anti-immigrant; they are anti-illegal aliens, as are all real Americans. So why didn’t the headline read “Anti-illegal alien legislation?” Because the power and wealth controlling the MSM, these being on the Devil’s payroll favors open borders for the sake of the slave labor benefiting the powerful and wealthy, and the tool of the powerful and wealthy, political correctness, would magically transform illegal aliens into “immigrants.” It no longer matters to the MSM that there is no such thing as an illegal “immigrant,” as Hitler proved you just keep repeating the lie until people believe it to be the truth.

“Texas town upholds immigration law. Farmers Branch first to vote on measure prohibiting renting to illegals (AP)—May 12, 2007. FARMERS BRANCH, Texas - Voters in this Dallas suburb became the first in the nation Saturday to prohibit landlords from renting to most illegal immigrants (aliens). The ban was approved by a vote of 68 percent to 32 percent in final, unofficial returns. The balloting marked the first public vote on a local government measure to crack down on illegal immigration. ‘It says especially to Congress that we’re tired of the out-of-control illegal immigration problem. That if Congress doesn’t do something about it, cities will,’ said Tim O’Hare, a City Council member who was the ordinance’s lead proponent.”

My hope it that a hundred towns across America will follow the lead of Farmer’s Branch, Texas. This would empty the deep pockets of the anti-American ACLU and cure not a few politicians of sucking eggs, that is, Mexican eggs with their flavor of slave labor.

Now what about the Rove/Gonzales connection to the fired prosecutors over investigation of voter fraud favorable to Mexico and illegal aliens? All those missing emails and so much more damning evidence of the wealthy favors such things like voter fraud for the sake of slave labor. Can We the People ever expect the truth to be told when those of great power and wealth are determined to tell lies?

All of this to point out an essential caveat to the Golden Rule, and one that neither Jesus nor Voight would deny: It only applies and is workable when the circumstances are such to enable people to obey the rule. An America without a national identity, without a heritage, culture, common language and secure borders can possibly obey the rule.

Well, maybe the Lord is now straightening Jerry Falwell out on a few points of disagreement. And when it is my turn, I’m sure I’ll be held to the same standard, something we certainly do not expect in this evil world system.

With entire cities being given over to gang violence it is naïve to expect our police to be able to deal with the situation when they face insurmountable odds such as the threats of lawsuits and even prison for attempting to do their jobs of “serve and protect.” And it is naïve to expect community involvement to solve the problem when witnesses become targets of retaliation. During the 60s I learned first hand there were areas of Los Angeles where social workers were forbidden to enter to investigate welfare fraud. These areas were too dangerous so the checks were just mailed out like clockwork. This same thing was happening in cities throughout America, and has only worsened with time.

Now, it is even being suggested that since some cities have become too dangerous for even the police, why not let the various gangs take over and rule in such places without interference. That such a suggestion is anarchy seems not to matter to such people. But they draw their suggestion from the fact that many cities in America are already given over to anarchy with people living behind barred doors and windows, afraid to even venture out in their own streets. And pity the young person living in such an environment without the protection of being a gang member.

The whole situation is only worsened when the elected leadership of America in the White House and Congress holds itself above the laws We the People are commanded to obey. The “trickle down effect” is evident throughout America today as lawlessness increases as a result. In “The Godfather,” Michael tells Kay she is being naïve to think government operates any differently than the Mafia. And our Federal Triune Dictatorship has gone out of its way to prove Michael was correct.

In reality, only the military could be brought in to deal effectively with cities given over to gang rule. During the riots of the 60s it took the National Guard to restore order in Watts. Since I was there at the time, I was able to evaluate both the effectiveness and the consequences of using the military to restore law and order. The advantage of using the military is obvious, but carries too much in the way of political repercussions making politicians fearful of using the one effective tool available to restore order to the cities under the control of gangs. However, should Muslim terrorists begin to target places like shopping malls in America the military would be the only viable option; but notwithstanding Muslim fanatics, the gangs that are terrorizing American cities cries out for the same military intervention.
