The terrorists have won...
Have you seen that commercial?  The one from "Homeland Security" with all the kids asking, "Mom, Dad, if I'm at soccer practice will you come get me?"  Welcome to the world of propaganda.  It makes me ill.  Are people really that afraid?  Or are "they" pushing an agenda?  Wtf?!  Propaganda website if you need brainwashing:

www.ready.gov

If you never see a post from me again, they came and got me!

Haha yeah share the toilet paper!  :)  I was more concerned about the commercial than the site per se.  Yeah its great to be prepared but don't you think our tax dollars might be better spent on sending the message to be prepared about, say Earthquakes in California, Tornadoes in the Mid West, or Hurricanes on the East Coast and Southern US which are about 10000x as likely to happen, and will also require the same preparations?    Sorry.  I'm not buying it.  I'm tired of the terrorist excuse.    I don't sit there worrying that I'm going to get mugged or robbed constantly and thats far more likely to happen than I be attacked by terrorists.

Yea, I've seen the commercial and I had the same reaction...there's a big difference between encouraging preparedness and inducing paranoia...you are roughly four thousand times more likely to die from an accidental fall than being killed or caught in a terrorist attack.

Why are we worrying about terrorists when things like heart disease pose an exponentially higher risk? http://www.writingshop.ws/h...
