Help!

Andy has been diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. We met with Dr. Rooks today in Fountain Valley, CA. He wants Andy in for the TPO surgery on both hips in 9 days. Andy will also have to be double plated on each side. Until then Andy is not allowed to do anything other than walk on a leash outside to potty. Here is our problem. Andy's surgery + 4 weeks hospital and phyiscal therapy is going to cost low # $13,000 to a high # of $15,000. We have to come up with this by the time we have surgery. I am hosting a yard sale this next Friday, Saturday & Sunday and am listing things for sale in our paper. We are selling most of our extra things, which is hard to do but for Andy we will do anything. We are volunteering for all the overtime we can get at our jobs. We are trying to plan a carwash as well. If anyone of you would like to help us please do. We need all the help we can get. I wouldn't be asking if we didn't need the help. You can email me @ HelpPayForAndysSurgery@PrinceAndyFlores.com for more info.

Thanks, Team Andy

That is young to have such an advanced case of dysplasia show up.  Since you purchased the dog for a physically challeging competition you did check the health of both parents?  What were their OFA scores?  I would be screaming at the breeder!  What club do they belong to?  Get hold of the club president and air your concerns that the breeder is selling defective puppies.  How many other puppies in the litter have had problems?  The other owners need to be notified.   Please contact us at tehmtdogfanciers@earthlink.net if we can be of any assistance talking with the breeder.

Is there anything any animal organizations can do to help out?  You might check, especially with afficionados of Andy's sport.
