Inspiring quotes or sayings.
Good Morning, everyone! Sometimes a good quote or saying really surmises the moment. Do any of you have a favorite, that gave you that little push, that you'd like to share? Here's one of my many fav's. All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten. "Share everything. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours.Say your sorry when you hurt someone.P lay fair. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush!Don't hit people. Warm cookies & milk are good for you. Put things back where you found them. Live a balanced life - learn some & think some & draw & paint & sing & dance & play & work some. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands,& stick together.Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the cup:The roots go down,& the plant goes up & nobody really knows why, but we are all like that. Goldfish & hamsters & white mice -they all die. So do we.And then remember the Dick & Jane books& the first word you learned-the biggest word of all-LOOK. Any one of these items you can extrapolate into sophisticated adult terms & apply it to your life.Think what a world it would be if we all-- the whole world-- had cookies & milk around 3 'o'clock & then layed down w/ our bankies for a nap. No matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands & stick together!author, Robert Fulghum Happy Sunday.

Great thread, Lori. Here's one of my favorites: "“Leadership is a potent combination of strategy and character. But if you must be without one, be without the strategy.” – Norman Schwarzkopf posted by

Someone said this to me after it was taking a ridiculously long time to re-wire one of the facilities at work, referring to the guys working in there... "If you put an infinite number of monkeys in a room each with a typewriter and give them an infinite amount of time, they will eventually generate the collective works of Shakespeare." posted by

"May I live simply, that others may simply live." I think it's most often attributed to Gandhi, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. I have this quote hanging up right above the shelf I keep my purse on, so I see it everyday. A little cliche, yes, but still a good one. "Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one." Nietzsche. What better way to remember not to resort to dirty tactics... a lesson I'm afraid I forget sometimes :( posted by

I use live and let live often because it often applies. However, my favorite quote is "Liking is probably the best form of ownership, ownership the worst form of liking" -- by magical realism author Jose Saramago posted by

This is my favorite I have it posted at work and it's from Martin Luther King Jr. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." posted by
