Well it sounded like everyone had a great time.  Seems like Madkow made a impression.  And yes eek is quiet until she gets to know ya a little.  That's what is so great about these blogs....those of us who are a little shy in public can still have a voice, opinion, and get knowledge without feeling insecure or embarrassed.  I myself have a tendency to stutter, so it's hard for me to meet people at first.  Now after having kids, that changed some!  As Madkow goes, I guess she fooled a lot of you guys because of once being a truck driver...lol.  That's funny stuff.  In reading her posts and comments, she is a very intelligent person,( not that truck drivers aren't smart, just there is a stereotype to truck driving women.  I am so happy everyone spread the hugs around.  I can't believe you all was told to be quiet "OUTSIDE" twice.  That is some stuff too!!  But honestly I guess no one should be too surprise considering how this is sometimes..=)  I'm glad you all had fun.

and then there's roflmao.   :)

Hey Colitas, saw your mom's obit. A very nice picture, she looked like a happy lady. Did you all move to KY (?) at the same time? Did TN charge you for the obit? It was in this week's paper they are now charging $15.00 for one! Must be hard times over there...

eek's  - your soft little voice reminds me of Georgia Engle from the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Yep Gube... that is where we were sitting.   I guess you were there.    Why didn't you come up and give us hugs?  If you preferred to stay anonymous I understand that.   I'm just curious is all.

Thanks Joty.  My parents moved to Ky about 3 years ago.  After a lot of talking we moved here year ago from Co to be closer to them.  And so the grand kids to be a part of their lives.  I figured my dad would have passed first then my mom would need some help.  She was very independent minded person but never drove and it was getting harder for her to get around, arthritis, etc. Now my dad is totally lost.  My mom was a "food" pack rat with 3 freezers full and full pantry plus extra in the basement.  My dad says he has a house full of food, but doesn't know what to do with it.  He won't even eat any of my mom's favorite foods.  But in my wildest thoughts I never thought it would be so soon after we moved here.  But I am thankful that we did when we did (we had no real desire to move to Ky).  One of the things that really bothers me is that my youngest (he's 2) will never know just how much he was loved by her.  I wanted him to know her, to remember her, to remember how it felt to be loved by her, not just words.  I tried, but ultimately we have no control.  Yes the TN did charge me.  But they said they are sending a paper to me in the mail.  I thought that was nice.

You will just have to keep her memory and her love alive for your youngest. Let him see her picture every day and just tell him how much g'ma adored him! I understand about your dad...I've always heard it's harder on the man to loose a spouse. Even though my parents weren't married at the time of her death, my dad stood and cried over her body at the viewing for 20 minutes (and he was not a demonstrative person, ever). His health immediately began to decline. Thank goodness your dad has all of you!
