My husband is looking for a carpool to Edwards. Anyone in a group already, and looking to add another driver? Or want to start a group with him? He is on main base and works M-F from 7:30-4:30... so similar hours would be helpful! :) Send me a message if you're interested! Even one person to drive with would cut the gas bill in 1/2. 4 people in the car would be wonderful! Thanks. Ok, with all the hot dog drama, I didn't want my post to get lost in all the accusations, name calling, and bickering! Also - I don't see the original blog by Olivia anymore... so I am wondering if the Tehachapi News pulled it. There were some pretty hateful (and personal) comments directed to the owner in there... Anyways, Like Joty, I decided I wanted to form my own opinion of the place. I braved the lunch rush today, with 3 kids in tow! Either the previous blog was overly harsh on them, or they have improved their food and service. I thought it was wonderful. They were busy, but seeing that I had 3 young children with me, the man there carried our food to our table for us and helped get lids on the drinks before they had a chance to spill! He was very kind and helpful. The kids ordered hotdogs and lemonade. I got a Frito boat (and a few bites of their hotdogs). I thought the food was great and the kids ate really well... for kids anyways! They were BIG hotdogs! So - I wanted to voice my opinion. I know I didn't give them good odds of making it, but after visiting, I think they'll do ok! Ås for all the "behind the scenes" drama, firing, errands, etc... I'm not going to let one angry and disgruntled employee interfere with my next hotdog! LOL! I will be back :) Kern County Clerk Ann Barnett has announced that her office will no longer perform or solemnize any marriages. For her conscientious act, Barnett is being slammed by homosexual groups and the Bakersfield Californian newspaper. Marriage licenses will still be issued, according to the new laws, but not sure for how long. "Trustee for the Kern High School District, Ken Mettler, has sent out an e-mail asking his supporters and everyone they know to show up at the Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday and voice their opposition to gay marriage in Kern County."
