What's on your menu Tehachapi?
I like the meat and potatoes stuff, but what really whets my appetite is variety. The more exotic the more palatable.

Air ambulance prices are predicted to go sky high!
The Bakersfield Californian just reported that County Supervisors have removed rate controls from air ambulance vendors and that  rates will likely double!  Hey Maben,  don't you live up here?  Better be careful  on 202 and Highline, unless you have a private pilot!

How much money does Mr. Hall need?  Emergency medical care should not be about money or politics. It will be a great day when Mr. Hall retires and goes away.

They said they had to do this because Mercy Air out of Mojave wasn't following  the set pricing guidelines so they had to even the field and let Hall's charge twice as much. To me you make Mercy Air  Charge the amount they agreed to or suspend their operating permit. Harvey Hall is making a killing up here and I imagine everywhere he has ambulances. He pays his EMT just above the minimum wage and charges exorbitant prices. We deserve better than that.

Does Hall ambulance even have air ambulance? Back in February we had to get air ambulance and used CalStar....to SF children's hospital, the bill was $28,000. And let me tell you, they are vicious in collection money.
