CalTrans Snowplow accident on Banducci/Highline 3/16
We are looking for second vehicle that was hit by the blasting rocks from the CalTrans snowplow on 3/16 at about 7:25am. The snowplow was blasting red rocks for deicing and neglected to turn it off as he rounded the corner, blasting the side of our suburban and a full-size van behind us at the stop sign going from Banducci (from Alpine/Stallion) to Highline (going west). This did some serious damage to our truck, and I'm sure it did to the van, too. The driver looked right at us with an "Oh @#$%" look on his face, but took off up Banducci (towards Alpine/Stallion). We could not catch him. Upon inspection, our truck needs a new paint job (insurance has already taken care of the initial process) and the body shop people say we are lucky we weren't in a regular car, because the spray will blast out the windows of a regular car. (We were higher in the Suburban, and we assume that you were higher in the van, too.) If you know anything about this accident, or know the people in the van, please email me at maverickcirevam@yahoo.com Thanks!
