Tacos Samich...
hey I was just wondering if anyone knows whats going on with Tacos Samich...are they rebuilding it or is it gone for good? Thanks! :)

I'm pretty sure they are just rebuilding/remodeling and will be back. Before they closed they had a sign saying they were going to be closed due to construction so I'm fairly certain they'll be back. Good thing...I love their burritos. Man, I want one NOW!

I used to work at the Chamber of Commerce and ate at TS every day. I love them. Irma has been wanting to expand TS for a looooong time, but the guy who owned the lot wanted to much for the property (the car wash was still there). Anyway, maybe she finally bought him out. I love their food. But since i have moved to San Diego, I have discovered something deeeelllicious. Maybe you can tell Irma about it. It is carne asada fries. A big pile of fries, smothered in carne asada, chedder cheese, guacamole, sour cream and mexican salsa. I am telling you what I could eat them everyday. They are soooooooo good especially from an authentic taco shop. That's what we call them down here anyway. posted by

They have the boards up for the outside walls and it looks like they have the inside framing up, last time I looked. It looks like they might be putting in a drive through too.

Yes, they are rebuilding/remodeling. I am friends of their children and was told that they were quite shocked when they originally saw the extent of demolition that was done to the old building, but were told it was necessary. The new building seems to be going up quickly and we all look forward to being able to enjoy Taco Samich again.

My wife and I have been waiting (not so patiently) for Taco Samich to open again. Sometimes on the way back from work, we take the long way home just to see how far along they are in the remodeling. Please HURRY. Irma.....we need your Beans Cheese and Rice burritos again. We miss you!
