Can we share little of the good?
Man, I'm about wiped out with all of the bad going around these days, so I figure the best way to combat it is to post something good.

Here's the topic for the day: Who do you see who makes you smile? Where do you do business that leaves you happy you went?

I'll start. I think Bill Mead is one of the classiest, nicest people in the whole town. I have never, ever heard him say an unkind word about anyone. Whenever I see him I'm always tempted to stand about six inches closer, just to see if some of his kindness will rub off.

And one of my favorite places to go is Canine Creek. Beside the fact that wet dogs are always good for a smile, they always have friendly, happy people, as shoppers and as staff people. Almost makes me glad the dog runs out of treats, just so I have an excuse to go back.

How about you? It can be friends, neighbors or your favorite server. Who makes you smile?

Good post Weebles!  My wife makes me smile!  She's so great, she works hard, treats me like a king and puts up with me!  And she loves me very much, but I know, what's not to love.

Anywho, I like shopping at the Pioneer True Value hardware store.  Those folks are always nice and helpful, and there's just a good vibe in there.  I always go there first, before I go to H.D.

My grandkids make me smile, mostly make me laugh outloud. My 6 year granddaughter was bossing her younger brother around and her father asked her, "You think you know everything?" to which she replied, "Yes, everything I can think of I know."

My two dogs make me smile. The Chihuahua with the pit bull mentality, and my long suffering Dauschund who puts up with her. My Newfie who always has to get the last word in. My Manx who brings me an offering every morning. I smile while grimacing on the inside.

The hummingbirds who fight over the feeder on my porch - even though I hung two out make me laugh.

My good friend Jeri who looks so angelic makes me smile when she rips out with an expletive or two.

I love Kohnen's Bakery and Books and Crannies (my favorite Tehachapi store).

And weebles, your screen name makes me smile. It always bring to mind the jingle "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down", something a neighbor used to sing to me every time she saw me when I was in the third trimester of my second pregnancy.

You're right, it is nice to think of the good things for a change!!

Tehachapi makes me smile.  Coming back into town off the highway and looking at our little community surrounded by mountains, I always breathe a sigh of relief and think, "I love this little town".

Save Mart makes me smile.  Everyone is so friendly and I know where everything is.  I always see someone I know there, several of the managers and clerks know me by name.

I feel happy when I'm at work and I can be supportive and helpful and sometimes just a listening ear when someone needs it.  Making things easier on someone who is worried or not feeling well is always a good thing.

My husband cracks me up and makes me laugh when I'm in the mood for his "humor" , which is pretty good most times. (there are those times "ladies you know what I mean" where its best to use the duck and dodge method rather than humor)

I love my kids and they make me laugh and they make me smile,  just because they warm my heart..

I like primo burgers and taco samach. The food is good and they give you alot of food. They fill me up. Also the people that work there treat me nice. puts a big smile on my face.

Thanks once again weebles for saving the day.  What makes me smile and what reminds me to be thankful are my two Bichon Frise pups, my dad's Sheltie and my long hair, orange & white striped Tabby.

My husband's smile, crisp autumn mornings with clear bright blue skys, the smell around Kohnen's bakery, and rainy/snowy days curled up in front of the fireplace with a good book, my pets and a nice cup of vanilla coffee.

weebles, you are the best,

Teresa

Who makes me smile.....my kids. They are my pride and joy. Not to mention they come up with some pretty funny stuff. Also, my mother. She is (amazingly) always in a good mood and it never fails to rub off on you! :) Also, my best friend. She bring out my dorky side... which is always fun! lol

I like going to Albertson's. It's like visiting family, and I love the gals at the Albertson's gas station. They are always really nice!!
