Favorite holiday movie/TV show/song?
I saw that A Charlie Brown Christmas is supposed to be on tonight, so i started thinking about all of the shows that come on this time of the year.

I still can't get past the holidays without watching "A Christmas Story" at least once. And "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" has some truly great moments.

On TV, I was always a sucker for "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". As a little kid I cried when he was mean to the little dog, Max. As an adult, my DH can sing the grinch song in the same register as the show, and that's always fun. But I also had a fondness for Rudolph. I that that stop-motion stuff was the coolest ever.

Any holiday entertainment preferences you want to share?

I love the new "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with Jim Carey, and "Elf" with Will Ferrell.

My all time favorite though is Irving Berlin's " White Christmas". I've made it tradition to watch that every Christmas. :)

Favorite movie: a tie between A Christmas Story and Scrooged. TV show would have to be the original animated Grinch.

Song? Gosh, I love just about every Christmas song there is except for "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer".

singer = Bing Crosby

song = Oh holy night

Show = christmas with Andy Williams

Movie =  hmmm probably the classic...  christmas on 34th street     (I think that is what it was called) with James Stewart.   It's been 20 years since I have seen it.

Event =  Macy's... now Mc Donald's Christmas parade and the lighting of the tree in town square.

I think you're thinking of "It's A Wonderful Life," Sparks. :)

Grandma got ran over by a reindeer is a classic Joty....lol I like the song that Jeff Foxworthy sings about the 12 redneck days of Christmas. My favorite Christmas movie is a toss up between Rudolph and Charlie Brown. I have watched those every year as long as I can remember.

A Christmas Story is just so perfect for the holidays - I had just started decorating my tree on Sunday when it came on the tube. I try to catch that one a few times each year.

We love Mannheim Steamroller's Xmas music; they add a fun twist to some of the classics.

But the holidays truly begin, for me, when I hear Adam Sandler's Hanukkah Song. Truly inspirational!

Natalie Wood was the little girl and Maureen O'Hara was the mom on Miracle on 34th Street.

OMG the Hanukkah Song is great!  I like Christmas carols too, especially O Come All Ye Faithful (or Adeste Fidelis for those purists out there).  I love White Christmas, Holiday Inn, and the animated Grinch.  I never saw the Jim Carrey Grinch.

OMG, I just got home from work and found.....my husband is a dork.  A VERY BRADY CHRISTMAS????  What the hell???

Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.  I've probably seen them both 48 times.  My kids think they are dumb.  Breaks my little heart that they won't sit and watch them with me.
