Primary fever
It turns out that I have election fever. I have slowly de-evolved to the point where, in my off time, I am almost exclusively watching politics.

On Saturday I watched the debates on ABC. All four hours of them.

Then on Sunday I sat down for the Republican forum on Fox.

As a matter of fact, I think I've only missed one televised debate so far this season.

I watch CNN, Fox, MSNBC and CSPAN. You'd think I had a relative in the race.

It's exciting. The more you listen, the more you realize exactly how big an impact the nominee has on your life.

My DH and I have already agreed on sandwiches for dinner tonight so we can watch the New Hampshire primary results.

Anyone else out there have the fever?

Nope.  I'm waiting for the two political parties to decide who they're putting up before I invest my time in the candidates.

I feel bad... I had breakfast with some ladies from church this morning and they were discussing some of the candidates. I only recognized a couple of names!  I agree with TK - I will start investing my time once they choose the "finalists". Weebles, I used to think it did not matter who was elected... that it really didn't effect me.  But the older I get, the more I am realizing how the important issues really do directly impact our lives.  Kinda scary.  I guess maybe I should be paying more attention!

I don't really have the fever, but i am watching it all very closely because i don't think we have any great choices.        ;                 & nbsp;       &n bsp;       If i were republican i would want Mc Cain because i think he is very direct and no nonsense, also he is experianced and probably respected, but i don't want him because i think he would only be a continuation of George W. only with a brain.

Guillianni would never cut it on the world diplomacy. I'm afraid of Edwards, Huccabee, and Rommney because of their too out spokeness of religion.

Obama would probably make a good president, but maybe not because of his lack of experiance. This leaves Hillary, I don't like her, i think she is a B------ , a shrew, and who knows what else, but i believe Margeret Thacher was all that too and she was a woman the world didn't mess with and was good for G.B. I think Hillary will be the same, I hope she becomes our next president

I've been staying with my parents for the past few days and have had no choice but to watch the political ramblings in all their glory.  I was even forced to watch Bill O'Reilly show off just what a paranoid, cantankerous old man he really is.  (My parents watch Fox News whenever they're not watching Fox Business News...  uugh, just shoot me already!!!)

It is somewhat exciting- I'm very curious about the NH vote today.  The Iowa results were amazing.  I mean, c'mon, Huckabee??  And I love that Obama beat Hillary!  Those are the two I'm most curious about.  I don't think there's much of a chance of a Republican getting elected, so I'm mostly just paying attention to the Democrats.  Black president versus woman president!  That's exciting!

It is so nice to see Hillary crash and burn, but encouraging to see the country come to its senses about her. Like Charleybyrd said,

"Hillary, I don't like her, i think she is a B------ , a shrew, and who knows what else", I know what else, the most corrupt politician I have ever seen in my life, hands down, if you can't see that, then you are either uninformed, or in complete denial.

Crash and burn? She just won New Hampshire.

"...the most corrupt politician I have ever seen in my life,..."  you must be awfully young.

Yeah, strong women are always bitches in a man's eyes...

GO Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hillary win I'm New Hampshire made me smile. People counted her out and thought she was toast after her third place finish in Iowa. The media puts to much emphasis on these on these early elections. Hillary's win upset alot of Clinton haters who can't stand looking at her. and i think that's funny. There is a long way to go and it is interesting to watch all the shows on FOX as they bash Hillary.

The Hildabeast sqeaked by in NH, she was up by double digits, what happened?, lets see how the other states go, I dont know why you Clinton lovers always go to men hate strong women, thats not the point at all, it's her history, so much scandal and corruption, do you really believe a word she says?,  she still polls across the country that half of all americans will not vote for her no matter what, are all these people afraid of strong women?, no, they just know the truth, something many of you are in denial of.and its not just Fox that bashes Hillary, i've seen it everywhere, Chris Matthews had counted her out.

Starbucks its obvious that you are afraid of Hillary. Its pretty sad when the Republicans feel they need to tell everyone why we need to be scared of the demarcates instead of telling  everybody why we should vote for a Republican. So Starbucks who are you voting for and why?
posted by Joty on Jan 9, 2008 at 09:03 AM

gube, I agree. All Starbucks can do is bash Hillary. Why? I find it funny that he will not answer your question (and you've asked several times) about who he supports or will vote for. Why? He doesn't seem very mature, posting unflattering pictures of her and calling her names. I don't support Obama, but I see no reason to bash, I prefer to debate his pros and cons. I've even taken to task several of my friends and family members who email that bullshit email about him being a Muslin.

Starbucks - name one politician that hasn't been touched by corruption or scandal. Why aren't you trying to convince voters that they shouldn't vote for Hillary with real arguements instead of your vague statements and namecalling?

I didn't say men hate strong women, I said they fear them.

Yay!!!!  Hillary won New Hampshire!!!   I'm like you Weebles, I watch every news channel I can, conservative and liberal.  I also have not missed a debate.   Certainly I will vote for a Democrat, but I like to know what's going on all around.

I did answer who I would vote for once, but for you joty, I will say it again, I don't like any candidate right now, my idea of a good candidate would be Colin Powell. if there were a good Democrat, I would have no problem voting for him, or her, if Arnold had been Democrat, he still would have gotten my vote, I tried talking issues here once, but I more than anyone realize this is a very Liberal Blog, most of you are just in denial of the corruption of the Clinton's and will keep your blinders on, that's fine, not a good way to go thru life, in my opinion, but its your choice,  it's very easy to find fault with Hillary's past, there is just so much of it, type stop Hillary in google and see what you get. I admire Sparks for watching all the news shows, and not just MSNBC or CNN, that's what I do, get everyones view, not just Fox. Remember, over half the country does not like Hillary, and for good reason, I am in good company.

I'll be really happy if Obama beats Hillary if just for the fact that he's so much nicer to listen to.  He's a good speaker and he doesn't have the baggage that Hillary has.  I don't like what either of them wants to do if elected, but I think he'd be more interesting at least.  (And I'm sooooo sad that McCain won- I don't know who I despise more, McCain or Edwards!)

I can't vote in primaries- so you guys have to give me a decent selection for the big day!!!  lol!
