Primary fever
It turns out that I have election fever. I have slowly de-evolved to the point where, in my off time, I am almost exclusively watching politics.
On Saturday I watched the debates on ABC. All four hours of them. Then on Sunday I sat down for the Republican forum on Fox. As a matter of fact, I think I've only missed one televised debate so far this season. I watch CNN, Fox, MSNBC and CSPAN. You'd think I had a relative in the race. It's exciting. The more you listen, the more you realize exactly how big an impact the nominee has on your life. My DH and I have already agreed on sandwiches for dinner tonight so we can watch the New Hampshire primary results. Anyone else out there have the fever? 50 comments from 13 users

Why, thank you weebles! LOL!! I think $90.00 was the highest I ever paid for a haircut. I actually just heard of his pricey hairdo and read or heard that he promised not to do it again. :o) madkow, if you're nuts, you're in good company!!! posted by

The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights At the BlogHer Convention And as for the $300 hair cut...well, I suppose I have to come clean. I've had a $250 hair cut on a couple of occasions, and being focused on that is just what I was talking about earlier. Folks have been told that his hair cut should be an issue so that they don't pay attention to what he has to say. JMHO. And joty, should you ever decide to apply for Queen of the World, you can list me as a character reference. posted by

As much as I dislike what Obama says, I do have some respect for him as a person (from what I know of him). Respect for Hillary? A little, but not a lot. I respect the fact that she's a damn smart woman and she has done quite a bit with her life. I don't so much care who gets in this November because I think the country will be fine regardless. I'm a big believer in the pendulum effect. Lately I've been developing this "bar theory" to figure out what I think of politicians. If I met Edwards in a bar, I'd pay my bill and leave without even finishing my drink. If I met Bush, I'd kick my feet up, tell some dirty jokes, and sneak away when I got bored. If I met Bill Clinton, I'd hang out drinking martinis, and give him a fake phone number when I leave. If I met McCain, I'd let him down a few beers, listen to a few war stories, then sneak away. If I met Obama, I'd listen to him tell some funny stories, but if he started on politics, I'd excuse myself to the little girls room and sneak out the back. I can't figure out Hillary, I think because I can't see her hanging out at a bar. OK, I think I really am going nuts if I actually think about people this way... Joty- go be queen so I don't have to think!! posted by

I'm so tired of the f**king media. I hope they all like the taste of crow... Hillary is beat up and accused of acting like a man, then she gets beat up and accused of acting like a woman. But she got the last laugh in NH didn't she? I lost all respect for Edwards when he chose to continue his campaign when his wife became ill. Oh yeah, and his $300.00 haircut, lol. madkow, he is a pretty boy...does that work for him or against him? I'm telling you guys, I should be Queen of the World!!! posted by

When I watch news on TV I usually watch either BBC, CNN, or some French news program (it has subtitles!). As I mentioned in a previous post, I am sometimes forced to watch FOX News, and I cringe then entire time unless it's Cavuto, who I don't mind listening to. I read from LiveScience sometimes too. I like health news a lot for some reason. Kinda weird. Vader- I was an HComm in college too :) posted by

I'll address the corruption that was posted by someone else and you cut and pasted Starbucks. What was listed has NOTHING to do with Hillary Clinton's candidacy for president. What you listed has to do with BILL CLINTONS administration. Who are individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton Machine? What are the crimes they plead guilty to? Who fled the country and pleaded the 5th amendment? And to what charges were they being indicted of? Did Hillary plead guilty to anything on this list? No. What does Al Gore’s fundraising or Clinton/Gore fundraising have to do with Hillary Clinton? None of this is substantial information that indicates that Hillary Clinton can not be a good candidate for president. posted by

Sounds like a few of you follow politics pretty regularly. Where do you get your news? I've mentioned a few of mine; MSNBC, Fox, CNN, CSPAN. I also read a bunch of web sites, like the BBC News site and OneWorld.net to get more of a global perspective on our process. Where do you find the facts that form your opinion? posted by
