Snow day for you, too?
So, when the schools call a snow day, does that mean you take the day off from work, too? Do you have to, because of childcare issues, or is it just a good excuse to get a bonus day off?
I don't have kids at home (not the two-legged kind, anyway), so mere school closures aren't enough to keep me at home.
Unless I do the fake-illness thing, of course. And I'd never do that :o) 3 comments from 3 users

Weebles, my husband stays home with the kids on snow days while I go to work. Neither snow nor sleet nor rain...only the most virulent flu or stroke can slow down the dedicated species known as a working mom. Alas, two snow days in a row seem to be having a strange effect on my husband... When I was getting ready for work he was channel surfing. First a fishing show, then a gladiator movie and then golf. I'm sure NASCAR and Superbowl highlights from the 80s are on the schedule later today. Meanwhile my kids were planning a Viking funeral for Barbie. The cold weather must have induced a "testosterone Friday." Luckily , I live near a fire station. Maybe the firefighters will hang out for the post game show. Yep. Can't wait to get home to the family.
