Snow day parents
Since I'm a spayed cat, I don't have to worry about what to do with the little ones when it snows and the schools close.

But what about the rest of you? What happens when a working parent finds out the schools are closed because of snow?  How do you handle it?

We don't have school closures for snow out here in Co.  You just have make sure your kid is bundled up because they let them out to play no matter what the weather.  They have bus delays, and sometimes they cancel the buses but school isn't never closed.  I remember how great it was to have a snow day in Tehachapi when I was a kid.  Back then we just stayed home by ourselves but we also didn't live in the city and had 30 acres of land.

When there is a snow day i do not have to worry about the kids because i am home for them. It bothers my older son when there is a snow day because he wants to go to school ( how odd for a 15 year old)... I don't mind having the kids for a day but when there is 2 snow days in a row it is a little hard. This is because they get bored and when that happens they tend to drive me crazy!!! I have already heard atleast 100 times today " i am bored there is nothing to do"...

Good question weebles. I'm lucky enough to have a spouse with  a flexible schedule but I don't know what we'd do if we both had to  punch a clock.  I guess you trade  off with whoever's got the most sick time - and the coolest boss.
