I only said whiting center because thats what the news station said, multiple times. They even had a jounralist from 23 kero call and they had a map displayed of where whiting center is located. I was just going by what the news had said. I live about 4 miles from the place, if they hadn't been directing traffic I would have gone down and filmed it.

Thank you citylady for the excellent info..... I think the news should hire you. You gave better and more accurate info than the local news station did.   Hum, I wonder who you knew on scene?  he,he

mmmmm The information he gave was not 100% accurate........................Countrygirl and I had the real scoop!

What if you were reading this from work and you had a kid at the whiting center?

I had all the good info and no one cares, I am so sad. :(         ;    lol

Wow I knew there was something serious going on when all the cop cars passed my home. I am glad that countrygirls brothers girlfriend is unharmed and safe.

Oh and thankyou msgherzi for the information

Do you want real time up to date info.....  You can get a police scanner or you can try this website... It is for the CHP check it out.  When you do just  to let you know Bishop dispatches for Tehachapi down to Hart Flat.    http://cad.chp.ca.gov/

Um, because it is illegal to urinate in public. Not to mention that urinating in pubic out in the open is not considered "normal" behavior. I used to work at the Whiting Center. There are usually  lots of children running about. It would be irresponsible not to call on someone behaving that way.

You don't live in BVS do you.  lol  BVPD gets calls when kids cut across the golf course. But hey if you saw someone acting nuts at a place kids hang out you would call also.

countrygirl   no I can't even imagine what her mother was feeling.  UGH    Yep, at least you know she is safe.  I bet your brother is extemely happy.  I"m glad it worked out for all of you.

Why would the police be called just because some crazy is urinating somewhere?
posted by citylady on Dec 13, 2006 at 07:20 PM
I was told the lady is 5150  but that is a "give me" if you think about it.   5150= Crazy person in need of a 72 hour psychiatric hold or a very good music album.

I am not sure if any of this is true but from what I've heard the police were called because she was urinating near the back of the Whiting Center. She took off on foot to the real estate office when the cops tried to approach her.

Just for your information the Kern County SWAT team responds from home or their duty assignments in the cops cars you saw. That way they get to the incident faster. Someone then goes and picks up the SWAT van and takes it to the incident. Kern County Fire Station 16 Bear Valley is also at the incident.  Bear Valley PD is doing the right thing by co-commanding this incident with Kern County. Bear Valley PD has a very good working relationship with Kern County, I only wished Tehachapi City had the same.

I'm really glad to know your brothers girlfriend is alright. Do we know why there was a foot chase though?

Sparks- I know.  The worst part is that her mother works at the real estate agency with her.  The woman ran in and grabbed her and she made everyone else leave.......including her mom. I can't  imagine being a mother in that situation.  I can't imagine being in any of the situations. I'm just glad we knew people out there so we were getting good info, this being Tehachapi and all you hear some crazy things.
