http://www.tehachapinews.com/home/Blog/Dogmomma/19899 Good news-Ben is being adopted by a wonderful older couple on 5 acres in the Old Town area.  Ben will be with them all day long and share their very well appointed metal barn at night with some barn cats.  They are installing an electric fence just so he doesn't wander off into traffic and become a stray ever again!  He should be in his new home by the end of January.  He is recovering well, most of his stitches are already out and he is almost ready to unveil his new streamlined (shaved) tail to the world.  Ben spent his first night in the house last night and was there smiling and ready to give me one of his special front-leg hugs when I got up this morning.  He wanted me to again thank everyone who contributed money toward his surgery.  He will now have a long happy life with a lady who already looks at him with love in her eyes.  Look for a future photo of Ben in the Jan.30th edition of the Tehachapi News!
