I'll list some of the things I don't like about Hillary (far be it from me to interject my opinion ;)): I'm wary of her position on government "meddling" in business and family- she can come off as a little "socialist"- for lack of a better word. She supports the embargo on Cuba. She supports partial-birth abortion. She wants to ban/severely limit guns and wants to leave gun manufacturers vulnerable to lawsuits over gun violence. She seems wishy-washy on national security.

That's all I can think of for now. I wouldn't be devastated if she were elected, but I don't trust her to move us in a good direction.

I'm not really sure why anyone would want a partial birth abortion or why anyone would want to perform one. Sounds completely crazy to me. Limiting guns for those that are legally able to purchase a gun is rediculous. We know where all the guns would be. Socialism...hmmm.

The grossly rich should be ashamed of themselves everytime they see a child in need. I'm pretty happy with the little I have. I can't imagine living life barely scraping by, knowing my kids were hungry, knowing they needed things I couldn't provide. Madkow, being responsible and using birth control when you can't afford children, is the responsible thing to do. However, some poor people want to have children. I don't know if calling them irresponsible is making their decision to have children any easier on them. People are irresponsible in many ways. I know about the global warming topic. I also feel that everyone should be able to have children and not worry that they are going to go hungry in this Country. I'm not so sure that Republicans feel the same way.

For those folks who think late-term abortions will be reduced by this ban, I don't think it's having the effect you thought it would. First, the vast majority of abortions are done during the first trimester. Second, there are other ways of terminating the pregnancy at a late stage, they are just more dangerous for the woman.

Third, I wonder how many of you would make the same choices, given the circumstances. If you want to read about women who've had to make this difficult decision, I highly recommend the following article. Even though it's written about women in the UK, they are fairly representative of what's happening here too.

Oohchild....How dare we judge them...how dare you judge us, and we go round and round. I've been in this position, but that doesn't make much of a difference does it. I've had three children and let me tell you something about the medical field today. They are so terrified that they will get sued over the littlest things they ALWAYS give you the worst case scenario and you are encouraged to abort if they "find" ANYTHING wrong. The current AFP testing is not solid. It is very sensitive and false positives are common place, but that doesn't keep them from freaking you out, giving you all the worst case scenarios, and then encouraging you to abort your baby...if not for you, for the good of your "healthy" children. (insert rolling eyes) If partial- birth abortion was legalized tons of perfectly healthy babies would die because of faulty testing and doctors who are scared to death of being sued.

Gube, what about the man's rights?? I think it is wrong that the men have no choice in the matter. I think if a man is willing to take the child and raise it the woman should have to have the baby. I have a very close friend who was in this position. He's getting older and has always wanted children, but has never married so when his girlfriend of a year came to him and told him she was pregnant he was thrilled. His joy only lasted a moment because she didn't want to keep the baby. She had already had two children from a previous marriage and she didn't want anymore. He begged and pleaded with her. Told her he would take full responsibility of the child, nightly feedings and all, all she had to do was carry it. She refused. He had no choice whatsoever in the matter and yet that was HIS child to, it was part of him, but that didn't matter. He had NO rights at all because it was HER body.

It was her body. And while she should have been responsible enough to be using contraceptives if she truly didn't want anymore children, in the end it was her right to make whatever decision she wanted.

And as I pointed out before, these women will have abortions should they decide the medical problems with the pregnancy are too great for them to bear. Do you think that just because this one procedure is illegal there aren't any other options? There are, but they are more dangerous to the woman. Don't fool yourself otherwise, folks.

You're just not willing to look at these women with any compassion, IMHO. Why should women be forced into a position of sustaining a life if they are refusing to do so? We don't force people to donate organs, even though thousands of people die in this country every year for lack of enough organs given through voluntary donation. We are willing to let these people die because we leave the choice of organ donation to the patient & allow thousands of perfectly good organs to be destroyed every year. How can a woman be forced to carry a pregnancy to term against her will, when something less tramatic as organ donation is voluntary?

some friends of ours are adopting a baby. The baby is due on Dec 25Th. our Friends are white and the baby is black. Color is not a issue with them and it hasn't been an issue with any of our friends. If Olivia and i where in a position to adopt color would not be an issue. When I look into a baby's eyes I don't see color.

Let's put it this way. If you want to have sex but don't want a child, sexual disease, or whatever else it is up to the individual (man or woman) to take the necessary precautions otherwise you are playing Russian Roulette with your life and future. I suppose that if a man doesn't want children he should make sure the woman he is with is on birth control. Not sure how one goes about that and I'm sure people would consider it a violation of one's rights, but it's a thought and at least he is being responsible right.

Again... if we place some of the blame on men, and not solely on the women we would try, and drug companies would make money on the drug. I do not think it is the sole responsibility of women to avoid pregnancy. I do not want men to think so either. A lot of men are paying a high financial price for unwanted children... I would think the drug companies will take that into consideration.... hopefully soon. It's a sad situation for some men to be in, but even the law acknowledges their part in pregnancy.. Men should be asking for birth control.... heck, begging for it.

Hey Rainbowman... my nephew is gay. I see what conservative Christians do to him and I think it's awful. (I don't understand how they can think of themselves like Jesus. The Christians I met say Jesus would have loved EVERYONE. The bigotry is absolutely horrible.

Luckily most people absolutely adore my nephew. (smile) Life is very good for him, although I will always fight so that he, you, and people like you can have the same rights as everyone else. Hang in there buddy.

My brother is gay, as is most of his friends. They've never been beat up, or attacked or mocked. Except one time at a party and I threw that s.o.b. out of my house. I guess you could call me a "faghag" because as a straight woman, I prefer gay men for friends.

Not everyone hates gays. A lot of people might be afraid because they fear what they don't understand (and don't understand what they fear). I am sorry if your life is really that difficult.

Different People see "their God" in many different ways. I think a lot of Christians need to realize more that God is a loving God. He is a forgiving God. He's our "original father". I don't think he would ever turn his back on his children. (any of them). He is the Father of all colors of people. He expects you to follow all laws, his and the laws of the land. Do I think he would ever turn his back on any of us? I don't think so. He might feel disappointed and ashamed of us for the way we treat each other and some of the things we do. Sometimes I'm ashamed of myself for coming across so judgemental and unaccepting. Thank God that I am human, that God loves me and will forgive me with a little shake of his head that says he disapproves.

My brother told me once, to just imagine how much I love my own kids. And that as much as I love my own kids, God loves us so much more than that. God is not a pushy guy. If you want to accept him in your life it's your decision. I find myself doubting that God exists at times. I also find myself seeing what goes on around me and what has been put in front of me when I need it most and I have no doubt that there is a God and He does love me. No matter what. He has been by my side through so many awful experiences and whether or not "coming out of those experiences" was my doing or not. I know that I was held up by something other than my own will. He has put a lot of people in my path that shows me daily how to be a better person, a better mom, a better employee. And I do thank God for the life I have, I just need to thank Him more often.

Sigh...I can't help myself. Again a bible thumper has taken a couple of verses from a book to justify homophobia. If you continue on to read, Romans Chapter 2 begins "Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, to judge your neighbor; for in judging your neighbor, you condemn yourself; for even you who judge practice the same things yourself."

So if you interpret Chap 1:26-27 as being against homosexuality, then Chapter 2 says we're all "guilty". Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No Jewels, I am not jim, I do find it fascinating though that no one here will comment on the blog topic itself, Hillary, I put forth dozens of facts about Hillary and simply asked why she is so popular with all this Corruption baggage, but none of her supporters will comment on her record, people will carry on how Democrats are all so loving and all that, but none will say what they think about her past.
