MarryMeet2u, thank you so much for being concerned about us bloggers and telling us what you know about Pagwytch. I truly appreciate it. I just called her and she is going to settle for the cooler. I told her that if she is going to ask for help in the future she needs to have compassion for those that are trying to help her for we work hard for our money and deserve honesty. Being greedy is not having compassion. She is willing to settle for the water cooler and I for one am glad she will be getting a water cooler. Again, thanks so much for the info, I have been known to be too giving for my own good. But, again I would have probably went out and bought Pag a cooler or at least donated $20.00 to the cause simply because it is so flipping hot here lately and I suppose I am a bit spoiled when it comes to the being able to control the climate in my house.

Not to be out of line...if pagwytch, doesn't decide on the swamp cooler, & it works, I would be grateful to stand in line for it, if it's available. I don't get blisters, but I am very susceptible to heat stroke, regardless of that, it's just darn HOT!

My sister has a swamp cooler attached to her vent system for her heating (the cooler is on her roof) it keeps her house pretty cool. My hubby and I have thought about doing that, but I think we'll wait out this summer and try to get A/C next year. Ahhhhh. I hope I survive lol it was 90 degrees in my house yesterday. Hey, it could be worse right..............I could be 8 months pregnant instead of 4! lol

Wiccans get a bad rap. They are commonly very misunderstood. I have a friend that is Wicca and she is a great person. Even though we have different beliefs I don't hold that against her.

I hope the cooler works out for pagwytch to. Try to stay cool all, I know I will be! ;)

PLEASE, I NEED YOUR HELP,
Current mood: worried

I am doing something that I never thought I would ever do. To start with I am going to tell you a little about who I am. I have been fighting to stay clean and sober for just about 6 years (8/27/) I have been doing rather well. When I got clean and sober, the doctors found a few things wrong with me. I was diagnosed with Lupus and fibromagia, and thyroid disease. I gained a hugh amount, up to about 200lbs. Lost a lot of that. If you look at my melting photos on my Profile you will see, where I started 6 years ago, and how I moved up. I am receiving SSI/SSID, $891.00.

I was living in my 5th wheel, got old real fast, then I moved into a Studio Apt, for $825.00, It was very hard to move around in it, with my and my cat, and pup, the room was getting small. So I moved up to Tehachapi, Ca. I got a much bigger place I moved into a 2 bdrm/2 Bath w/d hook up and a small back yard. paying $100.00 less then before.

Well I got a letter that SSI/SSID wanted to see me, so I went down there, not easy My car has been breaking down so much lately. It was over heating. Anyway I got down there, and the gal said I was only getting $75 on my SSID That alone makes me about $56.00 short on rent. Not to mentions the utilities I must pay.

I do drive my car, just not off this mountain. so in order to get it running with out it overheating, Radiator $150.00 tune up$just buying the parts $? and smog $I think I can get that for $50.00 new Thermostat $10.00

I am taking training classes with the School Dist, to be a Bus Driver. But I need money for that as well. To take the class it self is $200.00 CHP $67.00 School Dist $32.00 + $20.00 and in one year I get $100.00 bucks back. I once drove a school bus in Oregon. Been fighting like mad to get a job out here. I am told that I will have a job, unless I flunk all my test . which that is not going to happen. The hardest one is the written test, and I have been told that the BTW is stressful. I need a good job, I know I am good at driving, It is also a job well grounded, steady, and will be there in the furture.

My point is;. I didn't come this far to have to lose everything that I have worked so hard to get back. I need help, I am hoping that there are some people out there, that understand what it is I am going through. This is not easy for me to do this. I've never asked a stranger to help me. BUT I REALLY NEED SOME HELP, I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO REPAY YOU . I JUST CAN NOT LOOSE WHAT I'VE WORKED SO HARD TO GET, WILL YOU PLEASE HELP ME.............I AM SCARED TO DEALTH THAT I AM GOING TO BE HOMELESS AND I JUST CAN NOT DO THAT. PLEASE

I was shamed into creating a myspace account by my supposedly "grown-up" friends. It was a couple of years ago (or a few??), and they were talking about it, and I was like, "What the HELL is My Space??" They all got a good kick out of that and asked if I'd been living under a rock. And yes, in fact, I had been living under a self-imposed rock. I didn't have cable or internet service (because I didn't want either), and I'd been living at the top of a mountain by myself for quite some time (it really shouldn't have surprised anyone that I had no clue what myspace was!).

So, eventually they convinced me that it was a Must-Do, and I admit that it's entertaining, and a fun way to keep up on what my friends are doing, but I'm not sold on the "Must-Do" aspect of the description. To me, there are not many things in life that I simply must do... I must breathe oxygen, I must intake water, must eat some stuff, must not get impaled by a long, pointy object... you get the idea.

What bothered me was that she said she had to get rid of a cat her niece dropped off because it did not get along with her dog. I love dogs! Absolutely LOVE them! Do I have one? Nope, because they cost money in vet bills and food and toys etc. I can't afford a dog so I don't have one. There was a time I didn;t even have the internet because it was an additional bill that wasn't on the priority list. Now, how broke can you really be? Had you cancelled your internet 3 months ago you'd have a bright new shiny A/C already.

As for the myspace page, great find LOL Maybe you should sell that 1890's piano? Maybe sell your camera you use to post all your myspace pictures?

Ah, I used to hang out with a few wiccans back in AZ at the local coffee shop. They were extremely loving and very artistic and they certainly believed that one should do no harm to another. Wiccans are good people from what I can see. However, this isn't about religion, or whether a disabled gal should ask for help during rough times. This is about, being honest and having compassion as far as I am concerned. Is Pagwytch honest and compassionate? She was so honest with me on the phone she even admitted doing something dishonest to me... lol (not relative to this issue) Is Pagwytch compassionate? I don't know. Is she still clean and sober or is she spending money she could be using to buy an A/C on drugs/alcohol? I don't know that either.

What I do know is that Pagwytch said she was in the hospital with a blistering rash do to the heat. I believed she was physically suffering and needed help. Is she a good person who deserves our help, or is she a bad person who deserves to suffer?

Many greedy people ask for crap they don't even need. I have been a victim of that many times and I am very skeptical of people who beg online. Just ask some of the bloggers who have been here a while how skeptical I have been in the past...they know it. The only reason I was willing to donate $20.00 to pagwytch's cause is because I do know Pagwytch is indeed on disability and she didn't ask for us to buy her an A/C, she asked to borrow one that wasn't being used, It was OUR idea to buy her one. Plus at the chance she was suffering, I simply don't want anyone to suffer if I can help it. Yes, she got excited and perhaps a bit thoughtless of others when we all decided to pitch in and buy her an A/C, and yes she does put on a pity act to get what she wants which can be very easily viewed as being dishonest What does all this mean, what is the answer to whether or not I should help Pag?

The bottom line is that I am glad she is getting a cooler and I hope this will prevent her outbreak of heat rashes in the future. If the cooler doesn't work for her I will still keep my word and donate $20.00 to the A/C that she has on layaway. I am glad that once again I have learned a lesson about people, Nothing is ever black and white, but sometimes people are grayer than you might have first thought. Pagwytch... I hope you have learned something as well.

I have a Myspace page as well. Like you riceme I was told how great it was by friends and they couldn't believe I had never heard of it before. At first I found it highly intertaining. Not so much now, but I do appreciate the fact that it gives me the ability to stay in contact with friends that no longer live here, check out their pics, etc. Actually just found two friends yesterday that I had lost contact with. I was very happy about that. I must say that I still enjoy Myspace more than Facebook, but I'm sure that's because I didn't discover Facebook until after the appeal of Myspace had died down.

Madkow- I've never had any problems on Myspace. Like you said it's pretty easy to keep away from the weirdo's if you want to. :)

Now, I must say I completely agree with Smokey, but then again I have issues about people who don't live within their means. I'm well aware this is probably a problem I have to work through.

Do people deserve help when they need it, of course they do, But what about those people that do not help themselves? Should you help someone that doesn't help themselves? Pagwytch tried to come off as a poor, disabled, helpless, victim........and to many of you it appears, it worked quite well.

Do I feel bad when people are in need? Of course I do. Do I feel badly when it is their own fault? Nope.

There is a simple solution, live within your means. Pagwytch obviously can't afford to live in that 2 bedroom with her pets, she says herself "I am not able to buy much of anything like food, hell this month my SSI was lower and I had to find the difference for rent." Should I feel bad that she wants to live better than she can truly afford to? If I go and get a 6 bedroom that is beyond my means will you guys start layaway plans and drive around the city to bring me stuff? Doubt it.

They say there is a sucker born every minute. I'm starting to think they're right.

First I will say that I have two myspace accounts. One for business and the other for personal contacts.

Second, I have a aunt who has live and worked with lupus since I can remember. At times her doctor has told her to stop working, yet she would continue until she had to quit. Luckly she had a boss that would hire her back once the bad times ended. I also have another relative with fibromyalgia and also works. In this case she is self employed and can take time off when needed, but she still hurt a lot on most days.

That said, I will say that even though we now know that it appears the Pag could find a cheaper place to live, get rid of her dogs, and sell unneeded items in the house, we still don't know everything that has happened in her life. Would you want to sell an old ladies cats when it is her the one thing that she can rely on? Maybe the two bedroom was cheaper or she needed the space for a family member? We do live in a small town, so maybe there wasn't a one bedroom when she moved here and is now locked into the lease currently? To me it seems as everyone is judging her according to their beliefs and situations. As for her being clean and sober, great for her. I have many current and past friends and family member in the same situation, it does not make them all bad people. They need help.

Yes in my opinion she should get rid of the dogs, get a smaller place or even look into low into housing in Bakersfield where it is more available, and yes it appears she is wanting more than she can afford. Would I be as willing to give her anything after learning what we know now? No.

The blog accuses her of not being honest. I have not seen it. How has she not been honest? It doesn't accuse her of any illegal conduct. The only other accusations I see here is that she sits on a pity pot, she lives beyond her means, and she is a beggar. Not crimes. Maybe she is a beggar. So what? I applaud her on her efforts to overcome her disabilities and go back to work but I am concerned she may have chosen the wrong occupation. If she has fibromyalgia is she physically able to quickly unload a bus load of kids in the event of an emergency.? Usually people with this condition are unable to lift due to pain. Most people with fibromyalgia are unable to drive for prolonged times due to the pain in their joints, including the elbows. Can she evacuate a bus in a timely manner, assisting students that may be injured and require help? If she has disabilities can she lift and move fast enough to unload a bus full of kids? I hope she fully discloses her medical conditions to the MD that will certify her as medically cleared to drive a school bus.

When Tehachapi builds the low income housing at least she will have cheap rent.

Well, this is someone you say yourself you don't know much about. Not a friend, not an acquaintance, a complete and utter stranger. In barely over two months this stranger posts 3 blogs, all asking for help. You didn't see that as suspicious? I did. The informal definition of sucker is a person easily cheated, deceived, or imposed upon. Even if you don't think so in this situation, giving out so freely to anyone with a sob story will indeed make you a sucker eventually. It isn't that I think everyone is an "outlaw" I just think you need to research information rather than believe everything you read on the Internet.

As for that comment "I didn't bash you for being overly paranoid because some guy was standing in front of your house ", the majority of people on that blog actually believed I should have called the police and wasn't being paranoid. The majority of people also agree it wouldn't have been intelligent to approach him so perhaps it isn't as you so politely put it "neither you or your husband had the intelligence " to do so.

Smokey I would not have left someone I love alone in the house if there was a stranger outside that I was fearful of. If you weren't afraid of him then why not ask him why he was there?. If you were afraid of him, why didn't you call the police? You did neither. All you did is get paranoid, so much so, you had to blog about it. I don't think that was the best response to the situation. Again, I would have never left a loved one alone in the house when there was a stranger outside that I was fearful of. I didn't mention this to you on you on your blog because I didn't want to make you feel bad, but you yourself don't mind insulting or making other people feel bad by calling them suckers........... so here ya go.

As for Pag, I am not going to burn this witch on a stake. I wasn't above manipulation when I was desperate for help in my youth. I have fallen on hard times in the past, I was also addicted to drugs and I have also been on a pity potty, although never in public. I'm way too cool for that. lol I wasn't always the person I am today. People helped me when I was suffering, and now I am going to help others. This is my choice,. Nothing Pag has said or done will change my mind, I don't want Pag to get heat blisters anymore, they hurt like hell...it's that simple for me.. Thus, I will still help the evil witch on a pity potty who takes too many meds and her dogs too if need be. She didn't ask for us to buy her a new A/C, she just wanted to borrow a used one, She also asked for a dryer and when she recieved it, she asked how much she owed for it. The reply to her was "How does nothing sound to you?". A used dryer and to borrow a cooler... What a horrible monster you are Pag to ask us for so much.

Hopefully Pag will break free of her own prison of shiiit as I myself have done. Using her disablily to get people to help her is a pathetic way of getting what one wants. Absolutely, However, it may be worth it to Pag in order to wash clothes, stop the painful blisters on her skin and to pay her bills that she has fallen behind on. I'm glad to hear that Pag is getting a water cooler soon. Heck some treat dogs that make bad decisions better than the little I am willing to do for Pag. If you think I am a sucker.... so be it. I'm not changing my mind on this. There is nothing new here that I didn't already suspect in the first place. I'm not giving her money to spend on crap, I'm just helping her get cooled off. I told Pag on the phone yesterday to knock off her shiiiiit even before this blog was posted. I still want to help her. That's just who I am

Merry simply put out information (that was already out there) on this woman so everyone could make an informed decision, nothing wrong, illegal or evil about that . Again, I'm glad they got the information. I respect most of the bloggers on here whether you do or not and they do not deserve to be "taken". And I'm glad Pag will get her cooler/AC. And I'm through here...

This is a really interesting thread. I gave this lady my dryer a couple months ago when she posted on the blogs that she needed one. I have never seen her ask for anything else -- before or since -- so I guess I missed that. If I remember correctly, she was looking for a low cost washer/dryer, not asking for a free ones (but I could be wrong). My husband and I gave our dryer to her and delivered it to her house. She was very appreciative. Personally, I don't think it's fair to judge if someone needs help, or require them to qualify their medical conditions to get it. If you are giving or donating, it should be exactly that... a gift with no expectations for anything in return. Is she scamming people? Perhaps. But, IMHO, I don't believe that someone has to be living in a cardboard box and pushing a shopping cart to ask for help. The key to not getting scammed is to only give what, and how much, you can afford... then let it go and don't look back. :-)

There is a website called Freecycle.com that you can post things you need and things that you want to get rid of. It's a great site if you have a something of value that you want to get rid of (like a room air conditioner) or something you need (like a room air conditioner ; ) ). Google it and you can receive their emails --I am sometimes amazed at things people will give away. The one here in Tehachapi is not very active but the one in Bakersfield always has stuff--free produce from gardens, TV sets, kids/sdults clothing, a boat was on there( some woman got it for her home preschool to play in). Maybe she should have posted her request there.

I am not defending pagwytch. not directly any way. That is an assumption made by joty. I am defending my position that this blog is a snitch on the witch and there have been accusations made that she has been dishonest but no evidence or testimonial offered to support the position. I am also defending the rights of beggars to do what they do. Then I'm asked why I didn't offer to donate to the AC fund. That is a personal attack man, to divert attention away from the fact that pagwytch has been slandered. Then joty says she thinks I know pagwytch. That's a rumor and gossip. Then I get bashed for stirring the pot. You are damn right I'm going to stir the pot if someone is being slandered, snitched on and then I'm attacked personally. And I'm still waiting for the omissions to be revealed.

I checked the My Space. Apparently she could afford to take a trip to spend Christmas with her son at Emerald Isle, North Carolina. That is a rather expensive resort beach area.

Also, in some other photos she has some rather pricey antiques.

My opinion and mine only, Shes a lower class, self righteous attention craving con artist who uses everything to her advantage. - Just my opinion...
