Kids, they think they know everything!

Kids are great. Kids are fun. They challenge us, they push us, they humiliate us and then they amaze us! Us, is not to be perceived only as the parents, but any person within a shrieks range.

My point here, yes I have one, is that the power behind one kid is enough to put an entire room on edge and when you get swarms of them...watch out! Thankfully, or more appropriately regrettably, kids are not aware of their power! Their power to influence, power to change, power to create, power to destroy, (ok, they are very aware of that one!). One of my boys shot out some comment on America loosing the war in Iraq. No matter your opinion or mine, I wanted him to explain his point of view. On edge and ready to define my side of the discussion, I listened. His point, we are losing too many soldiers because of our regulations, procedures and laws in hostile situations. Wow, how insightful!

He is being shipped out of this country immediately as there is no room for this type of thinking in the United Sates of America! Whew, and in California, might as well give him a steak and call it dinner. The audacity, I tell ya!

I've seen a few posters around town regarding an upcomming concert at the junior high school. The young lady's name is Kimberly Jean and she graduated from THS in 2002. Are any of you going? Does anyone have more information on the concert, like where I can buy tickets?

the stop sign at the Tehachapi Post Office. Is there a story behind this stop sign? It looks like someone worked very hard on free handing an octagon with a chainsaw. Though it is effective seeing as it is so eye catching and all, I think it may be lacking a little in curb appeal. If there is a sentiment for that particular sign at that particular location, please share the story. If not, Tehachapi City do your magic!

A simple post here on the Tehachapi news site and viola! Change happens! Back in January I posted a message regarding the sign at Tehachapi Willow Springs Road and Highline being incorrect. The sign posted said "Highland". Well, I am pleased to announce that the error has been corrected! Big THANKS to the city for addressing this oversite.
