JMHO, but it seems unfair to go after an agency based on what you haven't seen. Maybe they are still doing tests and don't have anything definitive to report yet.

I realize this is someone you knew, so it hits close to home, but I can't figure out when people decided that being hostile would get them something that being respectful wouldn't. It's that whole, "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" stuff.

I tottally agree, the local police are on top of the jokes and other demeaning acts against the less forunate decision makers. I was one of the people once constantly harassed and it got to the point that I moved to St. Louis. I watch what happens through the newspaper on line and it doesn't surprise me that the scumbag cops working in Tehachapi would sweep this case under the rug.

I agree with both Jewels and weebles.. Jewels makes some valid points for example agencies that lie under oath to gain a conviction ( I personally experienced that ). But weebles also stated that maybe they are still working on the investigation and do not have all the evidence/facts that are needed yet. I just hope justice is served to whomever committed this act of taking someone's life either by the law or by God.

Sam was not murdered. There is no cover-up. He died of the life path he was stuck on. Drugs and poor health killed SAM. His worst enemy was himself.

I never said he was murdered. I know that there were drag marks leading to where his body was, that is why it was deemed "suspicious". Anyway, he made unhealthy choices but that doesnt mean the TPD shouldnt do any less for Sam then anyone else. Notice we havent heard anymore about it? What about Clyde Moter's death. No bulletins to try and refresh the hunt for the man who murdered him. Or the woman who was stabbed to death on 202. If this was a public official or a city official they would be all over it.

Anon- While some of what you say is true you are totally heartless and you should consider yourself lucky that you or one of of your loved ones have never had to fight addiction. These people were human beings and maybe if people were more willing to help them overcome their addiction instead of judging them for it they would have had a fighting chance. Addicts need support and A LOT of it. Sadly this town isn't full of people willing to do that...they are either being judged or they are with people who are just as vulnerable as they are. Seems like in order for one to truly fight addiction here they have to move.

Jewels...I just getting caught up on things. In reading your post dated July 19 I don't know what is going on. Could you give info on "Sam" and the other three that lost their lives.

About the judgmental "citizens" of Tehachapi, there are a lot of people that do the judging that are also doing the actions. I know this from personal experience. Just because they might not be "addicted" in the terms that most people think, they judge. Unfortunately, some people have addictive personalities and some don't. I've known many people who could do a drug once a week, or on the weekend but not feel the need to have it constantly. And others who once they have done it can't stop thinking about when the next high will come. Are these both forms of addiction? The weekend user and the every other day user? My point being is Tehachapi has a lot of people that throw stones when they live in glass houses. What is that old proverb (I think from the bible) : "He who is without sin cast the first stone". Forgive me for possibly not getting that quote exact.

Anonymous, whose truth is that? Again, the more I know of this blog site, the more I realize there are alot of people who are just cold hearted. If someone is found dead, and it looks as if it is under suspicious circumstances and law enforcement states that it looks as if it were under suspicious circumstances, you'd think they would go back, to the public, where it was announced and give some kind of update. I, myself, wonder about the crimes that Jewels spoke about. They were swept under the rug. Never mentioned again. Hopefully the families have and are being kept informed on the circumstances.

It is so easy to minimize a person's importance due to the mistakes they have made in their lives. Hopefully you people who look good on the outside but are crap on the inside are never found out for who you really are. Better keep posting as anonymous.

Countrygirl I call it like it is.You call it heartless I call it the way it is. No candy coating going on here. Drug addiction is not a pretty thing. Addicts lie ,cheat & steal.They hurt the people around them. And they can't be trusted. I know because I have been an addict for 20 years. I'm clean now. When I was using drugs I was all the above a real piece of doo-doo. Drug addicts are not victims and I well not treat them as such. People want to complain about the drug problem in teh but then want to support the drug users. It took me a long time to get clean. Every time my life got bad I was the one to blame, no one eles. The last thing a druggie needs is for people to feel sorry for them. They need to know that using drugs is not ok. Teh has many aa & na meetings. There is help out there if they want it. But the truth is most addicts do not want help and well not except it either.

You don't have to lecture me about addicts. I know all about them! Also where exactly did I say that doing drugs were OK and that I feel sorry for them? I said they need SUPPORT to stay clean and overcome addiction. Not support about taking the drugs...what kind of moron do you think I am? For future reference.... Support in my book is .....taking them to AA or NA meetings if needed, letting them vent out frustrations when needed, not drinking around them, being available to call if they feel an overwhelming urge, telling them like it is......Do not go hang out with that person or go over to that house, bar, etc., or chewing their a$$ off when they want to quit! IOW not being afraid to be the a-hole!

I think anon is missing the point to this blog all together.. It is not about druggies or if they get help or not... It is about an innocent man's life that could of possibly been taken by the hands of a criminal. Drug addict or not this man Sam deserves to have the facts out about his death, and if there was foul play then there is justice that needs to be served. Jewels I feel only wants answers for the death of this man.

As for the other deaths in Tehachapi, yes there should be more updates. I would love for them to catch the final person who killed those 2 men and the lady and get justice served. I lived right next door to the double murder, and I would love nothing more than to see the persons responsible for the deaths to pay. I do not care if the deaths of those two men were over $100 worth of drugs or not, they did not deserve to die over it..

p.s. anon maybe if you actually read what countygirl is saying you would have a diffrent prospective....

I KNEW SAM. HE WAS MY FRIEND FOR TEN YEARS.DO I FEEL BAD ABOUT SAMS DEATH, YES I DO. HECK THERE WAS A TIME THAT COULD OF BEEN ME. I GOT LUCKY AND GOT CLEAN. I KNOW I SOUND LIKE A HEARTLESS HARD A--. BUT I TALK FROM EXPERIENCE. I GO TO AA. IF A GUY STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION WALKS INTO AA I ALONG WITH MANY,MANY OTHER RECOVERING ALCOHOLICS AND ADDICTS WELL BE THERE TO HELP THE ONE WHO IS STILL SUFFERING.

My blog began a few days after Sam died. So these are NOT rumors, they were printed in the paper. Check the date on this blog. and read the blog. No one said sam was MURDERED. Geez. Anyway if you knew Sam for 10 years anon, I probably know you. As a matter of fact i can almost be positive i do. Also, going to AA and working a program are 2 different things. YOu can go to AA your whole life and have no recovery. Just be a bitter dry drunk, who has NO compassion. Or you can work steps and change who you are which really is the whole point of "going to AA". I personally have worked my steps and i know Sam and other people like him have choices and he made his. I was just concerned that law enforcement WOULD TAKE THE SAME approach as you do ANON and treat him like he deserved what he got IF IN FACT his death was suspicious. Thank God you are not in law enforcement and arent assigned to any case that may need some care and compassion. Despite Sam's disease, HIS FAMILY, are the ones that deserve answers. If they ruled it wasn't a murder, then so be it. Man Anonymous, you are a member of the fellowship? I hope you never relapse, because you have obviously forgotten where you came from, better than, holier than thou, i will never use again.....If you have ever read the book you will know that your disease is waiting right around the corner for you, hope you work a good program.

I myself never have been to AA, NA or any other support group. Being around a bunch of people recovering is like being around a bunch of dry drunks. Just a bunch of clean tweekers talking about how much dope they used and where they got the best stuff from. From my own experience which wasnt all that long ago, if you have a drug problem leave. Go some where else anywhere else. Where you dont know any one. Make a clean break, I did. But now that I have been clean for nearly a year I am most afraid of the peices that I am yet picking up. I have a good life now. Good friends and a great man who supports me through it all. But now I have to go back to Kern County to go to court for a failure to appear on possesion of drug paraphnelia. So thats just great! I really am not ready to go anywhere close to Tehachapi in fear that I may just want to stop in and say hello to some old so called friends and I really dont want to take that chance. Besides I dont want to end up going to jail, who does. I need to finish cleaning up the mess that I made of my old life so I can continue living this beautiful life that I was fortunate enough to find. If I can change... Any one can!

Stacey, I know you. You know me. Um we used to hang out together. You will figure it out. Anyway. I attend meetings all the time. ALL THE TIME. I have 3 years clean. The thing is you need to find meetings where there is recovery. When a person shares at a meeting it is SUPPOSED to be about sharing your experience strength and hope, not war stories. But the real recovery you will find is when you work the steps with a sponsor. Man I am telling you what it CHANGED MY LIFE. You saw me at the Caboose with my family singing kareoke, you saw how good I was doing. I am telling you right now if you find the right meetings there in you will find a great support group. I too left but i moved to a place where i surrounded myself with people who are in recovery and live their lives to the fullest. Just RUNNING AWAY will not work. Believe me if i was just skipping town and didnt do anything else, I would eventually find "my kind of people". I had to change everything. EVERYTHING, I had to change me!! Give it a try. My life is full of blessings and i am so grateful God saw fit to save me.
