this is a poem my son Kevin wrote

I am from

I am from my mother
without her life wouldnt be half as fun
i am from the love and care of my brother
who was the closest thing to a father that i ever had
i am from the guitars in my room
which i play everyday to make me better
i am from my music
that centers me and it gives me all different aspects of life
without it i wouldnt be the same person that i am now
i am from the trampoline in my backyard
when i jump so high i feel like i am flying
i am from playing hide and seek when i was little
i am from life
i am from death
i am from happiness
i am from hate
i am from me

Oct 5, 2007 at 10:10 PM : Jewels, don't you...

Jewels, don't you just love the creative part of our children. It's absolutely priceless. When my kids were little, that was my favorite part of looking through their school work. The little stories they would come up with. I have a special place that I keep their little folders of things. One of my daughters when she was in high school, wrote a story called "do you wanna snuggle". It still makes me cry when I read it. It talks about when she was a little girl and was having a hard day over something, her mom would always say, do you wanna snuggle? At the end of it, it says now that she's older she can always count on me (her mom) asking her if she wants to snuggle.

My 24 year old daughter, lives here in town in her own apartment. Every now and then, she will come over. I'll be in my room reading, watching tv, or whatever and she will ask if I will snuggle her. My son, I have to throw him around a little to make him snuggle me. But he loves it.

Tell Kevin he did a wonderful job on his poem and give him some snugglin' for me.
