        <description>How terrible for us all that the Republicans lost the election so badly on November 7th. Now we&amp;rsquo;ll just have to grit our teeth and put up with the Democrats&amp;rsquo; crazy schemes. We know what they have up their sleeves:
1- Lowering college tuition costs, to let the riff-raff into our universities. Higher ed. is for the deserving, and you can tell who they are by their bank balances.
2- Lowering prices for medicines, through government negotiations with the big pharmaceutical companies. Haggling is not polite.
3- Raising the current low minimum wage that keeps the working poor desperate. If they&amp;rsquo;re not desperate, they might start demanding benefits. Can&amp;rsquo;t have that.
4- Broadening stem cell research to find cures for more deadly diseases. Stem cells are people, dammit. Can&amp;rsquo;t do research on people, even if they&#039;re the size of this period.&amp;nbsp;
5- Cutting subsidies for Big Oil and its stockholders. It would be rude to take dividends away from Mr. Cheney and both Presidents Bush.
6- Enacting stricter miles-per-gallon rules for motor vehicles. This, too, would tend to make our chief executives poorer. We can scrimp a little on other things to pay for our gas.,
7- Keeping Social Security out of the hands of Wall Street firms to which Mr. Bush promised it. A promise is a promise. Do we really want our president to be a liar?
- Drawing down our military&amp;rsquo;s bloody involvement in Iraq&amp;rsquo;s civil war. President Bush has promised that he would keep it going till he left office. See question above.

Luckily, Mr. Bush still has over two years left during which he can veto all of these foolish plans of the Democrat Party. (Notice how I leave off the -ic? It bugs them.) He&amp;rsquo;ll save America from the Democrats&amp;rsquo; intentions--just wait. We&amp;rsquo;re so lucky to have someone of President Bush&amp;rsquo;s caliber to protect the deserving from those others.
