http://www.tehachapinews.com/home/Blog/olebluelight The absurdity of glorifying the TPD's accomplishment of every day routine requirements en-us http://www.tehachapinews.com/home/Blog/olebluelight/33666 <p>After reading the recent articles on the upcoming Tehachapi city council election I have been left with three burning questions.....</p> <p>(1) Doesn't someone have to actually reside in Tehachapi to run for city council.&nbsp; Henry is a really great guy but BVS just isn't Tehachapi.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>(2) What's the message when the &quot;Meet the Candidate&quot; forum is held a half hour from town at Stallion Springs instead of utilizing someplace within the city.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>(3) Do people from Bear Valley, Stallion Springs, Alpine Forest and the other parasite communities get to vote in the city election? I live outside the city but every time I go to vote I get handed the city election ballot along with the others. When I return it, telling the workers I'm not a city resident they just shrug and say vote if you want to.</p>
