Does anyone else get the "It's almost Monday morning blues on Sunday afternoon? - What's on your menu Tehachapi? - sushisoo's Blog - Tehachapi News

Call me crazy, but lately it seems that just about the time my butt should be permanently molded into the couch cushion, I start thinking about all the stuff I have to do on Monday. Does anybody else have these moments of Sunday afternoon self-flaggelation?

Yes, with unfortunate great regularity. Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening --- I'm sure it's some sort of symptom of the way people are almost never allowed to be "off" from work anymore. I'm thinking of taking a meditation class or something to better allow me to "turn off" when I'm not at work and allow me to focus on the other areas of my life that need attention more fully.

Like farting around on Sundays without looking over my shoulder to see how quickly Monday is gaining on me :o)

YES!----I get the Sunday Blues every week, I don't know why because I don't hate my job but I think its the fact I am "expected" to be somewhere at a specific time and to preform duty's I may not feel like doing at the time. For me weekends are spontaneous and random; ya know! I do a little house work we go out and have breakfast or do something pleasurable like ride our Harley when the weather is nice or sometimes we don't do anything but sit outside and drink coffee and talk for hours. I agree with you ~justcurious~" I'm sure it's some sort of symptom of the way people are almost never allowed to be "off" from work anymore" I don't take vacation days or call in sick (unless I so bad off I can't get off the couch) because of the guilt I feel when I have to burden my co-workers with extra duties.
