Hi All, My family and I have just moved into the area and have finally realized our dream of returning to the small town rural life!  After years of tolerating the noisy, grimy, impersonal world of the urban we've finally positioned ourselves where we can have our (relatively) large spread surrounded by nice friendly people and at the same time have our privacy and land that actually takes more than 30 seconds to walk through. :)  Its heaven on earth and we're ecstatic.   I can't understand why anyone goes for the urban city life.  The conveniences of urban living do not justify the low quality of life you get in my experience.  Especially when it comes to raising children! My wife is from a small town called Redding in Northern California so for her this place is just like home (maybe I can convince her to blog here!) .  I'm originally from the suburbs of New York City on Long Island, which isn't quite as small as Tehachapi.  However, I...
