Report Violation

The Tehachapi Humane Society again became involved in a situation that is all too common these days.  Apparently a lady was renting a house in the city and collected cats (and I don't mean ceramic!).  She moved taking about nine of her felines with her, but leaving quite a few behind (one with kittens).  The owner of the property didn't want to be bothered, so opened the door and allowed the cats to escape.   Now the problem becomes the neighborhood's.  Concerned neighbors have been putting food out for them and at some point we were called to see if we could help. We are now going to enlist the help of neighbors and try to trap these cats and find a place for them or turn them over to  Animal Control in Mojave where they will be euthanized .  My point is...it is much more difficult to trap a cat out in the open that to capture a cat that is in an enclosed house or room.   By allowing the animals to escape there is a good...
