I HATE needles. The very thought of it makes my stomach turn and makes me light headed. I'll cry and pass out, usually in that order. I can see children laughing, playing, gettiing thier needles like a champ - but it doesn't at all diminsh the severity of my fear of needles. I think it is all psychological from this strange coincidence: When I was about 6 my black lab was hit by a snowplow on Christmas day. My father passed out. My mother was on the phone desperately looking for a vet. Long story short, they left and came home without my dog. They explained this to me by saying 'They gave her a needle and put her to sleep'. A few months later my mum was very ill in the hospital. I was visiting with her when the nurse came in and said okay you have to go now. I didn't want to leave. I asked the nurse why and she replied 'We're going to give your mummy a needle so she can sleep" Imagine my suprise!! I was certain they had killed my mother until the next visit I had. Do you...
