After a long day at our Birthday Bash pet charity fundraiser this past Saturday, my husband and I decided to stop into the new Wine & Cheese Cellar at The Orchard shopping center to check out the wine selection. We were rather bedraggled from a day of dog washing and high winds, so we were looking forward to finding a nice bottle of wine and heading home.
No more than 5 feet in the door, we were warmly greeted by Doug and Mary Amos, the local owners, who very sweetly ignored our appearance, and invited us in for a glass of wine. Although expecting just a retail and gift store, we were delighted to walk into a beautifully-decorated Napa style wine tasting room and lounge, complete with relaxing jazz music. I was excited to see they also had a food menu that included things like Asian chicken salad, cheese plates, sandwiches, and Italian style pizza.
