I agree with brunettebeauty that It's nice to have some new retail choices popping up in Tehachapi. Although right now, the strip malls on Tucker are more parking lot friendly than people friendly. I would really like to see some efforts put into adding some variety to the downtown area. I would love to have a downtown area with bookstores, coffee shops, restaurants, music stores and boutiques that would make me want to park my car and walk around - if I wasn't already living within convenient walking distance of the downtown area.  Some good music, food (sans the grittier side of the 1950's and 60's era), art displays on a variety of subjects and items that people can actually relate to and afford to buy and good old people watching would be a great addition.  We have so many talented people living here. I would love to have a place to visit where they all gathered casually to show off their talents and interests (besides right here!)  Right now, if a...
