I remember one year, when everyone watched eagerly as I opened a package containing a training bra and a tube of Clearasil from an aunt who I only saw each year at extended family gatherings. I was 8. Even more embarrassing was the time when I re-gifted an item my mother had received during a company party, only to discover that the rather "unique item" had been a gift to her - from our mutual boss!
