Hey Scott, I'd have to agree with how cheesy it is to keep re-making these movies which seem so "Hollywood" if you know what I mean.  I'm a movie buff myself and I really like murder mysteries.  Did you see the "Black Dahlia? " The new one really Sucked (excuse the expression).  There was one that came out before this one that was much better. That was also the case with "The Zodiac".  The older version was much better in my opinion. I would also agree that there are many stories that could and should be told.  But...just like many things in modern times, it's usually about the money$
