Each year I make pumpkin pecan pie with homemade caramel sauce...by making it only once a year, it stays special and my family looks forward to it. (Uhoh, they don't get it this year. We are going to a large family reunion and dinner will catered. Maybe for Christmas this year.) Cold spiced yams, cranberry raspberry jello with whipped cream and pecans. Can't forget the green bean casserole! We don't use left over turkey for sandwiches. I make a killer turkey hash. It's not so much the food for me as being with my loved ones.
