I think we all take the Bible too literally not that it should be doubted but that the stories are examples not actual events. The forbidden fruit could have been anything that God disliked and who really knows what that was.  Maybe it was a simple act of trying to do things are own way rather than Gods.   The story of creation could have been trying to explain the 7 days of creation as 7 days of Gods time.  Being human we are very egocentric and tend to relate time tables to what we experience in a day.  For the ever powerful eternal God what is a day?  In science when the universe began about 2 billion years after the big bang occurred (which i believe God started) there was a great moment when the entire known universe flashed with light the first light.  Before this the universe was too cold and not chemically stable enough, gravity had not pulled the great masses of matter together to produce heat.  When this happened I believe...
