Weebles, I hear you.  Even though thanksgiving dinner is my favorite dinner to cook it does take a lot of prep time and for the last few years I have been short of time.  I do a lot of short cuts when making the 'traditional dinner'.  For instance, I'll cook the celery and onions a day or two in advance and get the hubby to cut those up for me.  I'll dice the pecans and walnuts a week or so earlier.  I cook the cranberry relish at this time as well. If I'm really short of time, Honeybaked here I come.  Sam's club has some pecan and pumpkin tarts that I'm going to buy this year instead of pies, and they have some rum and raisin glazed carrots that are yummy and heat up quickly.  If you want mashed potatoes you can cook the potatoes ahead of time and store them in the fridge in the water. Sounds like a lot, but I write out my menu and plan what I need to do then see where I can take shortcuts.  I can unsually get the hubby to do a lot of the prep work for me.  But...
