Here is the first Amendment of the US constitution, verbatim, barring the government from making laws that prohibit religion, and speech.  Please stop assuming that the Constitution was written with Christianity in mind.  It was written with a plethora of religions and the lack of religion in mind. Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
