Heck - If anything they need more money!!!! I know quite a few local and county firefighters and they work hard whether they are here or away somewhere else. Sure everybody has their "down times", but for Fire, Law Enforcement, and EMS it is sometimes about sitting around and waiting. I was told by a local friend of mine that his job is 90% boredom and 10% excitement. The nice thing I realize instead of trying to be a "Gube" is that it sure is nice to have them there when you need them. I don't care if they were at Primos eating or sitting at the station as long as they show up when you call 911. Kudos to all Firefighters, Police, and EMS. you all deserve a raise and a pat on the back for a job well done. Thank You!
