Sparks, my hubby was a contractor for many years, but we moved up here mostly so he could get a civil service position. So, he's still a newbie out there with only a few years under his belt. Obama has been wishy-washy at best, when it comes to funding NASA. At first he said he wanted all money to go to education, basically gutting what little NASA had left. Now he's backed off that position. We really won't know his true intentions until we see his first budget. Starbucks1, the problem with going to the Moon & Mars is funding. While Bush tried to talk a good game about manned missions to the Moon, there's barely enough money to develop the CEV & Orion rocket system. I just don't see anyone funding the projects like we did in the '60s. If it's not militarily oriented, the government puts it on the bottom of the list. Y'know, if people really didn't care about Condi's lesbian tendencies, why is she keeping it a secret?  I think a lot of people do care, it's just that...
