Report Violation

Are you sure you want to report the following content as a violation?
While I wouldn't oppose people using headlights in the daytime on Highline, I don't think it would make much difference as a requirement.  Anybody with a bit of common sense can see the blind spots.  They can also see where it is safe to pass or not pass.  And they certainly know that they are on a two-lane road where any idiotic maneuvers or negligent driving can send them into a very bad accident.  It's the speed that is the problem.  Going totally from memory, the few highways I know of in CA that require daytime headlights are the 138, the 46, and possibly the 166.  IMO, those highways are way more dangerous and the daytime headlights only help if there is poor visibility (usually seems to be haziness from the heat).  I just don't think Highline is bad enough to mandate daytime headlights during good visibility, and you have to have headlights on in bad weather anyway.
